Q: What is your outlook on US financials as a sector? I hold VFH, I am up 46% but some of that is because I bought in when Canadian dollar was stonger. I am considering cashing in my gains and reinvesting in a Canadian dividend EFT. Thoughts?
Thanks

Q: I find this company very frustrating. The stock price fell 20% the week after I purchased it in Jan/14. It then rose to $90.00. Now it has erased all those gains and I find myself underwater by almost 30%. I have this stock as "Consumer Discretionary" but it seem too tied to the energy sector. It represents only 2% of my portfolio and I think oil has a very good chance of taking a step down from here. I am thinking of replacing it with another consumer stock such as ATD.B. Would this make sense or do have another suggestion.

Q: Your last comments on this company was in Dec.
I purchased ikm in August/14 at an average price of 2.56 so needless to say I am well underwater with it currently representing .17% of my trading portfolio.
Recently there has been a good pop in the stock and the positive points that I have noted are: 1.inside buying with management having skin in the game 2. Technicals look very strong at the moment 3. Book value appears as $1.93. 4. Debt appears quite manageable.
I would appreciate your comments as to doubling down here which would cost me $1000.00, however having said that I do not wish to put good money after bad.
Your candid comments would be appreciated here. Thanks and Wish you and your family a Happy Easter

Q: All three dividend EFTs have a number of differences, but which of the 3 do you feel will give the best overall long term return and why?

Q: I am very pleased with your services and feel that the retail investor is getting outstanding advice from your service. I was wondering if you could recommend a similar type of service that provides expert advice on US stocks.

Q: I have been looking for investments in water. CWW looks like it holds a group of good quality companies and risk is less because it gives you a basket of stocks. PUR has given a slightly better return over the long term but stock appears expensive from P/E perspective. Both have similar dividends. Which would be better buy, or can you think of another company with more torc and or has a cheaper valuation. With regards to CWW, what does average premium discount of .74% mean.

Q: Hi Peter and team - Could you give me an update on Belletrix. Is debt still an issue? In particular is it still worth holding or should I consider switching into something similar but with a better balance sheet. If so would you have a recommendation for a switch. Thanks.

Q: This is a US company and outside your focus but I wonder if you could give me your overall take on McKession and its pospects for a growing dividend. It seems to me that it might be a good way to round out a portfolio sector and help hit my US diversification goals at the same time.
Thank you !

Q: On March 31, 2014 the B.E. Model Portfolio was rebalanced back to 5% weightings for all holdings, something that didn't occur at the annual review in 2015. Is there a new philosophy to let winners like CSU and ESL run and laggards lag or will this issue be addressed during April when the $10,000 cash is deployed (a 5.4% weight that could go to a new name)?

Q: Hi Peter,
I hold shares of Tidewater which continue to slide. Is there long term concern other than the price of oil. I am happy to hold and maybe add if they are not at risk of bankruptcy and it's expected it will come back when the price starts to rise. Appreciate any comments or advice. thank you. Tulio

Q: I know it is unrealistic to always pick winners in the stock market, but what should the typical win/loss ratio be? I'm assuming it should be better than 50/50, but can you give an idea of what a good investor should aim for? It's always painful to see losers (for me, SGY, TCW, CPH, FM, SYZ) and sometimes I feel reluctant to sell and cut my losses because I think they might turn around and improve my win/loss ratio. Thank you for your great service. I will be opting for the 2 year membership renewal this month!

Q: Hi, I've been watching RX since it was about 11 dollars, hoping for an opportunity to get in. It has recently taken quite a dive to 8 dollars and looks like it might go down further. Has something changed with the company or would this be a good time to buy?

SYZ is doing the same thing. Is this a good time to get in or will it drop further?

Thanks!

Q: Hi,

I came across the U.S company Sanderson Farms in a recent issue of Moneysense. I am thinking of taking a small position in it (About 1% of my portfolio). The valuation on it seems very cheap, and the company seems to be profitable and cash flow positive. What are the main risks with this name (Leaving aside currency risk). Do you agree that the valuation (P/E) is very cheap. If so, why is that?
