Q: Given the recent quarter, expansion announcements and takeover possibilities isn't Caldwell's stock price very attractive at current levels for a small cap investment?
Q: Peter and team,
I have been trying to get a quote on CXS for the last week or so without any luck. I found today that it is going as SCB (Street Capital?) Is there any significance to the name change (I thought Street Capital was a subsidiary)? What do you think of it at this time?
Gary
Q: Hello team, Your comments pls. on ATD's 11% (!) fall (they say related to the purchase of The Pantry) and the rest of their 1Q results and opinion going froward.
Thank you
Q: Please give me your thoughts on Atd-b latest quarter results. Why were currency fluctuations a negative. I thought that a stronger US dollar would help. Thank you for your time.
Q: Hi Peter and 5i team, what will happen if Chinese Yuan is included into the IMF reserve currency on Oct 20, 2015 meeting? Its effect on us dollar, canadian dollar , commodities and canadian stock market?
Q: I'm wondering what your thoughts on Bonnterra are with a recovery in oil prices seemingly pushing further out all the time. I'm thinking of switching some to WSP global
Q: Just came across this company, having read their latest presentation, seems like a decent company. Do you know of them and what is your take on their financials? Also, would this company be worth holding let say 3 to 5 years. I'm not in, just looking.
Q: I am setting up a new portfolio for a friend and am thinking of suggesting WCP. I know you like the company but I was wondering about hedging and how it works in the oil industry. When oil first dropped, concerns of certain companies (I forget which ones in particular were noted) were alleviated because hedges were in place. As time moves on and these hedges expire, do the same companies have new hedges in place, and if so, at what price? Are companies, WCP included, in danger of lowering there dividends as time goes on because these hedges are expiring?
Q: Is this a BUY at this level and yield .... Seems insiders are recent buyers to the tune of 3500 and 29000 shares ... You suggest it has a sustainable dividend, currently but situations can change ... But with recent acquired companies and once the Iran issue is clearer and some suggest better oil prices by year end this stock may recover substantially ... Your insights please .. And thx
It's down substantially in our grand children's RESP, so we probably should just hang on as it's only 3.2% of a well diversified portfolio that won't be needed for over four years.
However, in my RRIF that holds many 5i recommendations, I'm still up over 8% as it's been a long-term holding. Should I hang on and "hope for the best", or swap it for another divided paying financial stock that has better prospects going forward? (We hold BNS in a margin account).
Q: Seem the possibility of the NY delisting has hit MUX hard. Is this the only reason there was been this pullback. Long suffering shareholder. Appreciate your input.
