Q: I am very happy with my suscription and have been since 5i was started. I am sure you are very busy with the questions, updates, portfolio analysis and all but was wondering if we can expect more reports on new compagnies and new ideas in the coming months/ year. I often find new ideas in the question section but usually prefer your summary analysis including rating and detailed comments. Just my 2 cents. Thank you again for your great work.

Q: CDV postpones exactEarth IPO and stock plunges. Management needs to learn that market doesn't like uncertainly. What's your view on this and is it presenting good entry point? Thanks for your unbiased advise!
Q: Good Morning 5i,
I hold 5% of each of MDA and GIB.a. On MDA I am down approx. 10% today but On GIB.a I'm up 41%. Both of those holdings have missed expectation in this quarter. Should I sell or Hold?
Thank You
Paul

Q: Today Paul asked a question in which he included the following statement: [Plus I have PPL, ENB and IPL which you consider as utilities; all in very positive territory.]
Could you please confirm that you do in fact consider PPL, ENB and IPL to be utilities? Even if they are, I notice that their price tends to have close correlation to the price of oil.
Thank you.

Q: In your latest Summary Report containing CSU, it states the
INDUSTRY--Retail & SUB_INDUSTRY--Computer & Software Stores.
Is this correct?

Q: Dream Office REIT continues to get punished. Office real estate is clearly an out of favour asset class and it seems to me could remain that way for a few years (not to mention the weakness in Alberta). At the current attractive valuation, is this a reasonable holding for a patient investor content to collect the 9.60% distribution yield?
Q: After the recent results, the share price has gone way up. What are your current thoughts on going forward for a long term hold? Would you recommend buying at these levels? Thanks
Q: What do you think of Shopify now that it's had a first financial report? It has really shot up today. If you recommend it would you wait to see if the price goes down or buy at this level? I hold about 2% in PDP.V Pediapharm and about 2% in SPN.V Snipp both of which are down since I purchased. Would you use some of these monies to buy SH? My total holdings in biotech are about 12% and include PHM, NHC, GUD, and PDP. My holdings in tech companies are about 10% and include SPN, WIN,EL,GIB.A,CBX (scant amount),FEYE.US,SIMO, and GRMN.US. CSU is another one I have on my radar. Thanks!
Q: I am underwater by 30% with AVO and I am wondering if a swap for OTC would be easier to stomach than the ups and downs of AVO.Yes it would have been better to buy before the big increase but as you have mentioned it is still a good buy.
Q: Hi Peter, I own the oil stocks: BTE, CPG, CNQ, WCP, TOU, SRG, in different portfolios, would it be worth adding to the ones that are down the most to hold for the long term until oil rebounds I would hate selling them now, is there a risk that some might not be around in 5 years? or would you just wait out the storm holding what you now have. Thanks, Nick
Q: RE: Information Technology stocks in the TSX.
I am looking to buy a stock in the IT sector of the TSX as part of my portfolio diversification.
I prefer a IT stock that pays a dividend.
Absolute software, Constellation, Com Dev, DH Corp, Open Text are some of the names I came up with.
I always try to get familiar with the businesses I buy stock in but in the IT sector I do have difficulty understanding these businesses even after reading the company description on their websites.
Could you give me your opinion on IT stocks listed in the TSX that pay a dividend. And also possibly give me a description of the business in layman's terms?
Thank you very much.
Best regards

Q: I am wondering if you have an opinion on Hudson Resources? I have owned shares in the company for a few years, awaiting news which we saw today, that they signed a very large contract with Owens Corning for the sale of anorthosite to be used in the manufacturing of fiberglass. Supposedly this is the first of many supply agreements to be signed but the PR said that this agreement covers the major portion of the initial required volume. Supposedly this company will become a big cash cow, with very little capital required. The only problem is that it doesn't seem like any brokerage firms cover the company. After this PR only $80k has traded today. Just wondering if you have looked at this company in the past or if you have seen brokerage coverage on it?

Q: Peter; Could RNW get dragged down along with TA and the NDP policy changes in Alberta? Thanks.Rod
Q: The last question I asked about FSV you said it was expensive. Is this in regards to historical norms or has it always been expensive like other good quality stocks.

Q: With oil down for the week and settling at 48.50 why would WCP be up 5% today?
Do you think that signals a bottom?
Thanks

Q: From the last question on SCL you were comfortable with this stock at $34. It is now close to a 52 week low (near $31.50). In these unusual market conditions has anything changed your opinion? i.e., it would seem like a good buy.
Don'y get me wrong, I know you don't have a crystal ball ... but the stock does look good at these prices.

Q: Hi 5i team,
I think now would be a time to high grade my energy and real estate stocks.
In energy I have CPG, WCP, SGY, TOU and SCL. The "winner" in this group is WCP; the biggest loss is in SGY. [Plus I have PPL, ENB and IPL which you consider as utilities; all in very positive territory.] Which stocks would you remove? What would you do to high grade this mixture?
In the real estate sector I have XRE, AX.UN, DRG.UN and TCN. I was considering selling one or both of AX.UN and DRG.UN, and adding to TCN. What would you do to high grade this mixture?
Thanks for your insight,
Paul J

Q: I haven't seen a question about Biosyent in a couple of months, it's trading near its 52 week low. You indicated in May the fundamentals looked good, the price is still is dropping possibly due to the sector. I am considering taking a position at this time, please advise your thoughts.
Thanks
