Q: I purchased Alta Gas some time back as a long term hold. Everything that I read about the company is very positive about its long term prospects. Your comments on this site have tended to be supportive of this position. Yet the shares continue to fall despite all this. The shares are down a lot since February and technically look extremely weak. Is there something that we are all missing relative to this company's prospects as the fall since February has been relentless. Today's trading appears to be starting another leg down having broken the support around $40. Clearly the market is not as positive about this company. at least in the past 4 -5 months. Is there any explanation for this drop and any rationale for continuing to hold the shares rather than stepping aside. I would appreciate your comments.

Q: Hi Team,
Currently I do not own and Info Tech stocks in my RSP. I am looking to add 2-3 stocks from this sector with good growth and decent dividend. This would be considered a long term hold (+10 years). Could I please have your recommendation?
Thank you for your service.

Q: what do you think of Saputo (SAP) in the $31s? Its taken quite a hit today but given the, almost for sure, earnings per share revisions downward, its not really trading any "cheaper" than it was before today.
I like the stability of the company but I didn't like how the stock fell on higher than normal volume today before the noon earnings release.

Q: With valuations of Cogeco and Cogeco Cable looking cheap, what do you think of their prospects and which company would you prefer? Thank you.
Q: with the recent slowdown announced from Teck and weak coal markets in general, what are your thoughts on WTE and does it have the balance sheet to protect the dividend? Thanks for your service.
Q: With consensus building that interest rates are about to rise (or are already in the process of doing so), REITs are seen as one of the sectors that will be hard hit. In fact, it would seem that they have already seen important price drops in the past few months, Chartwell Seniors being a good example. Given that interest rates will likely continue to rise (hopefully, at a slow and steady pace along with the growth in the economy), will REITs continue to fall or will there a point in time when their units will rally back to healthier numbers regardless of where interest rates are going? I prefer to hold securities for the long term (à la Warren Buffet), but I keep hearing that it is imperative that I immediately sell all my interest-sensitive stocks.

Q: I'm hold some Pipelines and REITs and these have unrealized capital gains in a registered account. There is no need for income. Blue skying it - with interest to increase and 1/4 point seemingly backed into the stock prices for pipelines and REITS, when is the time to sell them?.....Thanks Tom
Q: Hello Team,
I'm considering selling Sunlife ( up 7% ) and buying Manulife. Going forward, all things considered, owning Insurance companies, would you consider this a good switch?

Q: Good Morning Peter,
We have seen Derick Warren on BNN a few times and he has recommended Callaway Reit. We have read your report on H & R and would like to know if Callaway is comparable to H & R.
Thank you, Charlie

Q: Constellation continues to defy the analysts and has now more than doubled in the last year - a great company. Is it ever considered a potential take-over target? Thanks, Peter
Q: I have been watching Sylogist for quite some time and thought this might be a good entry point. However looking at the chart, it went up for three years straight and then straight down from about 12 to 7 dollars. It has recovered a bit but not much. What is the reason for the rapid drop and would this be a good entry point. Where do you see it a year from now. What other small cap stocks would you recommend in the tech space?

Q: On June 1st, you mentioned that Sienna this may be a takeover target. Would you think that would be from Extendicare or Chartwell? Would there be other players besides these two, each with their recent influx of cash?
If it was taken over, can you "guess" at what the price, or price-range, might be?
Thanks!
Enjoy your day!

Q: Good Morning Team,
BMO offers ZUB and ZBK. Both are equally weighted US bank ETFs. Both are sold in Canadian dollars. ZUB is hedged while ZBK is not. If they are both sold in CDN dollars could you please explain how one is considered hedged while the other is not? What are the tax implications for holding these in a TFSA?
Thanks,
Richard

Q: Hello to everyone at 5i
To my way of thinking, the supply and demand fundamentals for seafood merits an investment. Do you like these companies right now? If so, would you have a preference of one over the other or would money invested in each company provide better coverage of the industry and reduce company specific risk?
This investment would represent a small allocation in my TFSA.
Thank you for the service you provide

Q: I'm looking to initiate a half position in either INO.UN or DRG.UN. Could you please provide a review of each and give your opinion on which one you prefer.
Q: Your comments on today's results would be appreciated.

Q: Do you think CSE has a high probability of being taken over? What other 5 names would you think would have the highest probability of being taken over and are also buyable at current price. Thanks
Q: With OTC missing 2 quarterly results, and we can't expect much this yesr, what would be a better name to move into at this time in Canada? I own CSU, ESL, ET, MDA. Thanks for your guidance.
Q: Hello Peter and 5I team,
Thank you for your advice in the past. We have just topped up our TFSA and with the cash we already had on balance are ready to purchase some stocks. We are already diversified in our other accounts with large caps and fixed income. We are looking for fairly valued dividend growers and or first time dividend payers.
Thanks
