Q: Since May, Catamaran's stock price has gone up considerably, despite that it has agreed to be acquired (by United Health) at a set USD value. So is its CAD price fluctuation a trivial effect of the USD::CAD exchange rate, or are there still non-currency-arbitrage reasons to invest in CCT?

Q: Hi guys, Michael Dalsin just launched (yet again) a new company today on the tsx venture: Inspira which targets small healthcare providers throughout the United States by offering revolving lines of credit (“RLOC”) and loans.

What is your view on it and isn't he getting a bit stretch with all his ventures: PHM, Convalo and now Inspira?

Thanks

Q: The ceo has been talking about a possible complementary acquisition to help fund their growth. What public company do you think could be of interest to them or would they look at a private company? Are cvd and mda and bos in the same space? I own Heroux and was wondering if Airbos of America is in the same space. Thanks.

Q: I want to be in cash and prefer being in USD. I vaguely remember that in one of 5i's portfolios held DLR. DLR has pretty low daily volumes and it also has a high management fee as well (0.45%) for just holding cash. Do you know of any other investment vehicle to park my CDN cash in USD without actually making a FX exchange?

Q: With an apparent agreement with Iran in place on nuclear weapons and the lifting of trade sanctions, it would seem that Iranian oil will soon be finding its way onto world markets. With a glut of oil already and the world economy seemingly stalling, why is this news being met with an increase in the value of oil stocks on the TSX? Isn't this bad news for oil producers?

Thanks for the insight.

Q: I own and am down about 30% on Cenovus. The yield is creeping up, leading me to believe that the market is pricing in an eventual cut. Am I better off trading out of this name into another oil and gas play? Which would you reccommend? This is a long term investment and about 3% of total portfolio. It is owned in a registered account, so there would be not tax consequences or advantages. Thanks.

Q: Good morning,

On your recommendation I purchased Exco and am enjoying the ride. Thank you. I'm wondering if it makes any sense to either add Martinrea or switch from Exco to Martinrea as it seems cheaper after Exco's rise. MRE seems at a P/E of 13.50 according to google finance so I'm interested in your thoughts.

Thanks!
