Q: May I have your thoughts on Algoma? The stock has been weak recently possibly due to general market weakness or possibly due to problems with the delivery of latest self-unloaders. I know the company puts you to sleep but if you wouldn't mind unloading on the unloaders I would appreciate it.
Thanks

Q: Hi there

Very much enjoy your service. I was going to add one more REIT to my portfolio to bring it up to 9% weighting. I was looking at Killam versus Pure Industrial knowing they are in very different sectors - apartments in Canada (Killam) versus Industrial in the Canada and the US (Pure Industrial). I need some guidance as to the stability of earnings going forward, the adequacy of the payour ratio looking ahead, and any possible likelihood of dividend increases. Both have dropped lately so don't know if that is a sector thing or other factors. Mainly looking at long term income here.

Much thanks

Stuart

Q: Hello Peter,
these three have the same chart pattern, the 40 DMA moved below the 9 and 20 DMAs, sign of buy! Do you agree? How will they respond to an eventual Bank of Canada interest increase?
Many thanks, J.A.P. Burlington

Q: Just wandering about the recent pullback in these two stocks do you think it's just collateral damage from Hilary's remarks or are the underlying stories still intact, would you consider this a buying opportunity at these levels thanks Greg.

Q: In general, how many stocks are necessary to be adequately diversified? I know that your model portfolios have 20 positions each, but if I owned fewer stocks, it would make if possible to monitor each positiion in more depth. I would appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks,

Q: At the current unit price of these etfs, do you think they are a buy at this time for a person looking for yield? Or, do you see further downside in October and November for the North American markets?

Thank You

Q: Hello 5i..My question is regarding Trevali (TV) . You last commented on TV Aug 19 of this year but a lot has happened since, news releases etc. Also , Glencore is associated with TV but i'm not clear on how this would affect Trevali should Glencore go private or become insolvent. Do you think TV will survive this current downturn in the sector.
Mark Cruise just added just under 100,000 shares to his existing position of almost 1 million shares. do you view management as competent ? thanx norm

Q: Peter and Team, Hi
I have held Rock Energy for quite some time. It has gone down 70% since I bought. You know that we tend to hang onto our losers. What do you recommend? Any chance it will go up anytime soon? Should I dump it before it goes to zero? Regards... Joe

Q: Hi team,
I have been a holder of this company for three years and traded in and out of it,but am perplexed at it,s price resistance at around 32cents. Should the Holt mine announcement back in the spring, to be in production in Q4 for an addition of 30,000 ounces or so be THE catalyst for the share price to improve?Analysts place a value of .60 and believe the company is vey undervalued. Also it's balance sheet is strong with very little debt.Should I purchase more now?
Thanks,
Jean

Q: Hi and thanks for support through this bump in the road. I hold about a 5% weighting in ZWB and it has served it's purpose for income in our RRIFs but with a high weighting in National Bank NA I am wondering if a change to TD and BNS or perhaps CWB Cdn Western Bank would serve us better. Your comments are always appreciated.

Q: Hi, Valeant's share price took huge hit over past two weeks, after Hilary Clinton comments and Democrats' request for a subpoena for drug pricing. There are two drugs in question, where price increases were 225% and 550% appx. As per analysts covering the stock, even if price of these two drugs is reversed, it should impact the share price by about $8-$9. Except one major brokerage, no one has changed rating of the stock (Most have Buys). Although a few have adjusted price targets between $10-$15 but average is still about CAD$325. Last week stock traded as low as $204.50 and has now stabilized in $230-$240 range. Only a few weeks ago it traded as high as $347. Despite the near term headline risk (although it is not known if house committee will even accept the democrats request for a subpoena and US history of very limited success with drugs price control), is it reasonable to accumulate shares at these levels, in your view? Valeant still appears to be the only choice in large cap pharma sector in Canada (of course Concordia being the other)and I am wondering if there is an opportunity here. Thanks, as always for your valued comments.

Q: I am recently retired, 58 years of age and my investments are 100% in equities and should be looking to diversify into some assets with less risk. I am currently receiving company pension that is sufficient for monthly expenses. What are your suggestions to diversify my portfolio? I am looking at some bond ETF and/or CIBC Income Plus Portfolio. Q: Hi Team, Question on oil in the future. What is your opinion on where the price of oil will be in about a yr. I have heard some analyst say it may fall to 20.00/barrel. if Obama strikes a deal with Iran, then they would be able to start selling their oil on the market. And they have huge reserves. That would certainly flood the market. Then I heard that Russia was going to start selling more oil as well due to deals with Syria. If this happens then would the price of oil should drop drastically. what is your take on these events.
