Q: Peter; What do you make if the negative interest rate statement by the BOC? Is it a sigh of weakness ( no pun intended) in our economy or just forward planning? Thanks.Rod
Q: Wondering if 5i members looking for U.S. diversification might benefit from cherry picking equities from the top ten holdings of ETF funds. Not sure if there are conflicts of interest when ETF funds make their selections.
Happy Holidays!

Q: I didn't get any allotment on the Hydro One IPO and the price shot up after it went public so I stayed away. H has retrenched to 21.90. Do you see this as a good price for an income investor? Given a choice of H or FTS, which would you recommend?
Q: Hi 5i,
For direct exposure to renewable power would you be ok with RNW? I already own BEP.UN and AQN. The juicy yield is appealing.
Thanks in advance!

Q: At today's prices, if AYA has dropped to 3% of a well diversified portfolio, would you top it back up to 5%? If not, any reasons why you wouldn't? It looks cheap to me. Thanks, Neil
Q: Hello team, Could I get your comments on yesterday's HCG's revised ROE target. Your latest report is from Feb 2015, would you still rate it A- today?
Thank you!

Q: Any thoughts on ESL's recent purchase of CTI Group?
Q: Would like your insight on enb. Has a good qr., increased 14 percent dividend. The outlook for 2016 is decent but the stock is in free fall mode. It's not even a pure energy company. Should I sell while I'm much ahead.
Thanks for expert advice as always. Rossana.

Q: What are the payout ratio's for ENB and TRP? Is the metric used for this type of company different than the traditional percentage of earnings ratio?
thx

Q: I have been following this small cap for a few weeks, Market Cap is less than $25million, revenue $4.8mm, Earning .08 per share. Business has some very positive present and future high lights and although their business focus is latin America, just wondering with the influx of refuges to Canada if they may have a niche market.
Just wondering if Peter and your team, have heard any chatter from Bay street, and what your thoughts and opinion might be going forward say for 6-12 months out.
Thanks and Cheers to all of 5i employees during this Festive Season.

Q: Are you familiar with Penske Automotive Group (PAG.US) or Group 1 Automotive Inc (GPI.US)? What would be your opinion?
Currently I do not hold either of the two companies but was considering a purchase of PAG.
Thanks
Stephen

Q: With exposure to Alberta and future growth and revenue how would you compare Ax.un and D.un ?
Q: This comp. has incr. it's dividend 2x this yr. by .01 cent each time: PR +300%, ROE minimal ( not making any money or very little), high debt.. I own and have for 6 yr now TRP & ENB and realize that this is not a pipeline company; but, does have a utility component now, I believe. Would I be putting too many eggs in one basket, if I bought this company? What am I missing here because all the number say stay away!!!!
Q: Hello 5i team
I bought KMR in a TFSA for stability & that it paid dividend in KMR shares. I have also owned ENB for a few yrs. I Have read a number of opinions on both from Morningstar analysts & seeking Alpha contributors.
I would like to get some info from your Bloomberg source, an your opinion on the comparison.
1. What are their Debt factors including pfd issues & what is their dbt/Total Cap ratios?
2.What are Cash flow valuations & interest coverage at current prices
It is clear that futures depend on their respective ability to fund capital projects an maintain a decent balance sheet. ENB looks to be stronger than KMI at the moment.I am inclined to hold on to KMI on the basis of its dominant postion in the industry & the non-life threatening size of this investment in my TFSA which offers no tax loss offset.
I will appreciate your opinion as well as the financial metricsyou can supply
Regards Ernie

Q: What are your thoughts on Fortis (FTS).
Q: I am considering adding to my holdings in the following companies, some of which I'm ahead in, and some behind. I'd appreciate your comments on the prospects of these companies over the next year or two. The percentages of my portfolio they account for are indicated, and I'm reasonably balanced as far as sectors are concerned.
DHX.B (1.5%), DH (2%), GIB.A (3%), DSG (3%), GIL (2%)
