Q: Just a comment: you like to repeat that we never had 10 year loss for any major market. Well, we are very close to this here in Canada: April 21, 2006 S&P/TSX Composite close was 12437, as I am writing this the index is 12241... While we don't have 10 year loss yet, we have 9 years and 9 months loss. Regardless whether we blame it on oil, Canadian bureaucracy and unions, or ignorant and corrupt politicians the fact remains that investing in stock market in Canada in the past 10 years was the worst mistake one could make...

Q: I have a small position in this pref in a registered account. I've held it for almost a year and am down on it. I was wondering if I shouldn't add to it at this time given I have sufficient cash in that account?

Q: Hi Team,

In the past you've said: "The main drivers to equities are (1) earnings (2) interest rates and (3) money flows (people going to cash/shifting from bonds to stocks)."

I know what earnings are doing (US/Canada - slowing but still positive); what rates are doing (US up, Canada flat or down); but I don't know what money flows are doing.

Any thoughts?

Thank you, Michael.

Q: MacDonald Dettwiler stock has been thro' quite a roller coaster ride during 2015, trading as high as $101 and touched a low of $71. Most believe this company to have a fairly unique business with niche is specialized satellite technology catering to Private/Government customers in civil and defence area. Last quarter was a bit soft due to slow satellite orders, which seems to be stabilizing if recent contract wins are any indication. You rate MDA as A- which is one of your highest ratings. I have just re entered the stock due to its dividend and capital growth prospects over next several years. What is your current opinion on this company with special comments on future growth and competition? Thanks

Q: Hi, 5i
Regarding pbh, what are the biggest risks involved? How are its margins? Do you know their customers?(Starbucks? I think is one). The food business is "to my knowledge" highly competitive and margin sensitive, is pbh a good enough company to overcome its sector or do you think other stocks are better?
Thanks
