Q: The 3 BN, BLK and BRK.B are the largest financial holdings in my portfolio. I would like to consolidate 3 holdings into 2 only. Which 2 do you recommend? I have 20+ years horizon and have high risk tolerance. Priority is growth, no need for div for 20+ years.

Q: Hello 5i.
I am currently way overweight in all 6 Canadian banks and I would like to trim to 2 or at most 3. Capital gain is more important than income. How would you rank the banks for a 5 year time horizon? What would you suggest as a total portfolio weight for Canadian banks, not including other financials?
Many thanks for your great service.

Q: I am a fan of buying companies that perform the boring, tedious and "un-sexy" jobs. Star would seem to qualify and would also seem to have good cash flow, etc. Despite it's very poor momentum, it seems, otherwise, o.k. What are your thoughts regarding this stock for an income investor?

Star Group L.P. (SGU)
Q: Would you recommend any small or mid cap US stocks in the utility sector? Or if this is a sector where large cap is preferred? Interested in your thoughts in both cases.
Q: How were the results and guidance ? Thank you.
Q: As a retired income investment, I have enjoyed the steady increase in the value of these funds over the last years as well as a good dividend. In fact they tended to stay steady every time the market dipped. Until lately. Both have seen daily drops unseen before. Has anything changed or is it the general skittish market right now.
Q: Any thoughts on Kirkland Lake Discovery Corp?
Q: Could you please provide your outlook on this name? I lost 95% on this one in my TFSA, any chance this name may rebounds?
thank you,
thank you,
Q: I really appreciated your explanation made today on this ETF.
Do gains/losses made holding this ETF comprise capital gains and losses only or do they include interest? You peaked my interest with this as I currently have a lot invested in GICs / money market and am not relishing the tax hit.
Thanks a lot

Q: Is there an ETF that provides equal weight coverage of the TSX similar to what EQL does for the S&P 500?
I would like to increase my ETF holdings providing a broad coverage of the Cdn market vs individual stocks. I already have a heavy weighting in individual financial stocks and most TSX ETFs would simply further skew my overall balance.

Q: Good morning, which of these two stocks would have more upside potential, day about one year atvthe most regardless of anything else. I realize it's a very short time horizon and it's like comparing apples to oranges, thanks?
Q: Can you comment on Cintas and Mettler Toledo prospects?
Q: With the drop in HPS price I was thinking of selling my ATS and buying HPS. What is your advice? Thanks Steve

Q: Are you still endorsing a switch from SLF to IFC in the balanced portfolio?
