Q: I have no exposure to gold and would like to buy a gold stock that has good bounce potential with the rising gold value. Or, have I missed the bounce already? I'm okay with some risk. I thought of YRI or KGI. Could you make a suggestion of one of these stocks or another stock altogether?

Q: Hi 5i, can you provide some examples of the comps for Intertain in Europe? I understand these companies trade at much higher multiples. Thanks a bunch.

Q: I have Shaw, Telus and Bce in my cash account. Would you recommend selling Shaw and buying Premium brands (Pbh) or some other stock? Thanks.
Q: Greetings, Peter and Co.
I currently have 14.8% of my investments, excluding real estate and bullion, in the biotech/healthcare sector. I hold
Biosyent (RX) 0.5% (I have a considerable loss in RX.)
Concordia (CXR) – 1.5% (I expect CXR to be acquired by a larger company.)
Merus Labs (MSL) – 2.2%
Prometic (PLI) – 2.4%
Amgen (AMGN) – 3.1%
Knight (GUD) – 5.1%
I am considering liquidating my holdings in CXR, RX and perhaps MSL and using the proceeds to add to my PLI position and/or an alternative that you might recommend unless you think I am too overweight in this sector.
Thank you for your analysis and recommendations.
With appreciation

Q: Which of the big three telecom companies would be best for further investment as this point - BCE, Rogers or Telus?
Q: I would like to buy FNV. You say you are "very comfortable" with FNV. I've done some basic research and see that S&P Capital rates it a sell;TD as a hold; Thompson Reuters a buy. A news brief says "FNV files for mixed shelf of up to $2.0bln." INK Research shows that FNV insiders were doing lots of selling in March. HELP! How do I interpret all this?

- TransAlta Renewables Inc. (RNW)
Q: Hi, 5i.
For pure utilities, I have BEP (2.0%) and RNW (1.5%). I also have ENB (2.0%) and IPL (1.0%) if you consider those utilities.
I'm looking to increase my utilities allocation and wondering if I should add to what I have or take a position in Fortis (or another name you recommend).
Thank you,
Robert

Q: I am considering buying Finning Int, and would like your opinion on this co. Is this a good entry point?
Q: I have tried entering several symbols and I get, "a no questions asked".
I know on tgz, mux and tmm to name a few that you have answered questions in the past.
Am I doing something wrong. I specifically would like to know your opinion on ER Eastmain and the proposed changes in the works. And also to clear up what the problem is with the symbols I have entered. Thank You..

- BMO Covered Call Utilities ETF (ZWU)
- iShares Diversified Monthly Income ETF (XTR)
- iShares U.S. High Yield Bond Index ETF (CAD-Hedged) (XHY)
Q: Because of my age and possible future need for income, amount and security, I am pondering the addition of the following ETF’s. I am indicating the present and after purchase weighting in my portfolio. ZWU ( 3% - 5%), XHY (1% - 3%), XTR (0% - 5%). My portfolio is reasonably well
diversified with about 95% blue chip (28) common shares. Can you please comment on the appropriateness of my proposed purchases, given your limited knowledge of my portfolio.
The composition of XTR i shares includes other I share ETF’s so if I were to purchase this security I would be effectively duplicating management fees and further increase my exposure to XHY, which is held in XTR.

Q: Please give opinion on financial and momentuum strength of West Jet and future outlook, or any intrinsic or extrinsic to Canadian airline stocks
Please compare WestJet to the other airline in Canada as well
I have purchased at the bottom (@ about 15.50) and am concerned profit taking may cause a Drop ... noting last 2 days pullbacks
is there any typical seasonality to Canadian airlines?
Thankyou

Q: With the recent drop what would your opinion be of this company for a 3-5 year hold.
Q: What kind of long term dividend growth would you expect from this company? Can they keep up the historic 8% annually for the next ten years or is this asking too much. Their company presentation claims that they have a naturally higher ROE than other insurers. They do not seem to be aggressive investing their float like Fairfax is. Thanks.
Q: I bought Tck. at five dollars and I'm wondering if I should sell it now. What is your opinion. Jack
Q: Looking to understand the process a bit better. At what point does a board of directors need to disclose that they have been approached about a possible sale? How do they decide whether to go public or to keep confidential? What are the odds a deal is announced this weekend?

Robert

Q: Could I have your view on Chorus Aviation? I am looking at a small position, to be held for income. How sustainable is the dividend and what is the payout ratio? Any visible headwinds in the next couple years?
Thank-you
