Q: Hi Peter and Team! Like Bryan, I have read Peter Schiff's doom and gloom articles. Food for thought at times, but is he not peddling his own investment company as well? I have been reading the various authors on seeking alpha, Peter Schiff being one of them. You can get those that say we are going to hell in a hand basket and should invest in underground bunkers, to those on the other end of the spectrum that think everything is rosy...and those in between. I figure we have faced uncertainty before and the industrialized world is still standing. So in my naïveté , I will stay calm and carry on. Cheers, Tamara

Q: Hello,

Your last comment about this stock was on Jan 25, when the stock was at 5.26. Now it's at 3.85 (give or take) with a 15+ yield.
Is there a possibility that if the oil stays at the current level for a long time (or moves lower) BDI goes belly up?

Thanks
Marios

Q: As a follow-up to the earlier Whitecap comment, it's only fair to point out that the proceeds from the financing are being used for an acquisition. Whitecap had a Working Interest in the assets being acquired from Husky so it made very good business sense to opportunistically consolidate control of the property which will now be 90%. Also, a number of insiders also bought stock this month.

Q: Is there any point in holding on to Diversified Royalty any longer? (I'm down 22%). With oil being what it is, and DIV tied to the Alberta economy so closely, it seems this might be a long time in recovering. Its only real "diversity" is Mr. Lube, it seems, because the few other holdings are a few restaurant chains, mostly based in Alberta. Is Mr. Lube enough to sustain this company and see it through the tough times ahead? I was thinking of cashing in, and topping up my Royal Bank stock with the proceeds, with the recent dip at Royal.

Q: Peter, with 100% of my portfolio in North America, I believe I should have some International exposure. China, Russia and even Europe scare me. Chile, on the other hand has a low debt/GDP and a stock market which demands companies to pay a dividend.
Is this fund a wise place to start my foray into International? Any other ETF which you like to diversify geographically?

Q: So the B.E. Model Portfolio has had a cash balance of at least 9% that was deployed Feb. 18. Who knew cash had been building as it has been several years since this was reported in the monthly numbers? Personally I think this would be useful for members to know if cash is being accumulated; for members who want to emulate the p/f's this can be critical information and I urge 5i to add a reporting line for cash held.
