Q: Hi Peter and team:
Could you comment on the merits of STB? It has a great yield, but a high payout ratio, and there have been issues with the balance sheet. Thanks for your advice.

Q: Interesting article in the Globe this morning, suggesting to consider the newly issued preferreds with 5.5% + yield, some with 4-4.8% reset rate. Also, that buying individual preferred is a better choice than the ZPR. Can you suggest some of your choices please.

Q: Based on your recommendation a few weeks ago I purchased SPB, AYA and CUS.
AYA is now down 26%, SPB up 2% and CUS up .8%. Should we still hold these stocks or sell them? Will you be advising your members when to sell these stocks.
Thanks

Q: Peter et al.

What do you make of their earnings results released today? Did they beat estimates? They showed a loss in earnings due to acquisition charges. Was this expected? EBIDTA was good from what I see ($120M). Revenue was good as well as far as I can see. Is this still a long term hold?

Regards,

Brendan

Q: Peter; Would this ETF be buying the " new" bank issued preferreds.

Plus re the " egg on your face" comment I would ask David to watch BNN Market Call guests explain their Past Picks , some down 25-75 %. If every stock 5i picked went up they would be under investigation !
Keep up the good work . Publish if you wish.

Q: In a question asked by Steve on Mar. 21, there was the mention of "subscription receipts". What are they? Do they benefit the Advisor selling them more than the investor? I recall a former Advisor phoning me and offering them to me.

Q: MY earlier question today concerning GSY was perhaps not clearly stated. My concern based on your previous & positive commentary was whether the very illiquid daily trading was a warning sign. In other words notwithstanding it's last financial statements, are there any new adverse or negative happenings within this company that you are aware of? Thank you.

Q: The market doesn't seem to like the secondary offering to Milesouth today and the gradual liquidation of mile south's position. What do you think will be the longer term impact of this offering/liquidation? Is this offering dilutive or is it just increasing the float? Why is the share price reacting so negatively?

Q: Just a general question,I have been an extremely satisfied member of 5i since inception, but I have one concern. Many of the stocks in your portfolios are thinly traded and as your membership grows would be hard to sell if you advised us to,BCI and TC come to mind.Another thing I wonder about is,even though membership to 5i is very reasonable, numerous people could be using one membership.Feel free to publish this question or answer privately,as you see fit.

Q: i think you guys have a lot of egg on your face concerning amaya,on feb. 29 you published a report, 2 stocks that the market might have wrong and amaya was one of them.
a bigger question is who in the right mind would finance bazov to buy the company while these charges are pending- the answer is no one.
the only hope is for him to step aside or a third party bids for the company.
another question, what about your cockroach theory which i believe in, there is never one cockroach, amaya is finished for now.

Q: Curious as to your thoughts on earnings announcement for Magellan (MAL) prior to me solidifying funds for a position. Thinking long term for this one and have been interested in it for a while, but wanted new federal government budget direction out of the way and a supportive earnings report - Cheers
