Q: Hi all at 5i! I am happily looking at a tidy profit with my Uniselect Stock . I am up about $20K on the stock. Here's the problem. Part of me wants to take the money and run....the other part of me says leave it alone and let it grow more. My question to you would be where do you foresee this stock going? Is it a good one to hold a while longer given its statistics and where the economy maybe headed, or should I make out like a bandit and cash her in? I don't need the money right now. Thank you for all you do for us. Regards, Tamara

Q: Hi 5i

I received some Dell Tech shares from the EMC/Dell takeover. Any thoughts on selling, keeping or buying more? It is about 1% of port.

Thanks

Q: Hi,
I hold the above REITs in my RRSP account. What do you think of them? I don't really want to hold more than 3 but do you think that I should consider a change?
Thanks, Bryn

Q: I have been looking at MG for awhile and was wondering why the stock has fallen over the past 1.5 years? The dividend payout has risen over the past 4 years and they have very low dept. The returns on asset, equity, and capital are also consistently high over the past 5 years.

Is this simply investors being tired or is there something else, and would it be a good time to enter?

Thank You,
Andrew

Q: Over the past few years I have purposely avoided the materials and energy sectors. By doing so I outperformed the market from 2012 to 2015. This year the market is outperforming my portfolio handily largely due to large increases in these sectors. Could you provide 3 companies in each sector that I may consider purchasing for a long term hold. I am interested in companies that pay a dividend and have some opportunity for capital appreciation.

Q: SPB just announced the suspension of its DRIP plan. What is rationale for any company, like SPB here, to do so?

I always thought a DRIP plan is a good way for a company to conserve/manage its cash flow while the additional share dilution is really at the expense of its existing shareholder base. Hence it is to a company's advantage to have a DRIP.

What is your view on the pros and cons of a DRIP? Please enlighten us. Thanks.

Q: Hey 5i team, this is my first question here. I have recently finished school, and have opened a TFSA. I am looking to start a portfolio, and am willing to hold investments for up to five years. I was looking into the energy sector, and like CPG, and CVE (for growth potential), and VET (for their dividend). Would you recommend one over the other (or anything else), or would you recommend averaging between the three?
Thanks,
Mark
