Q: Good day all. Back in august 2023 you mentionned Mewmont might not be the best choice for a gold miner. Morningstar US is recommending it this week and rates it as undervalued. What is your opinion on this stock at this time? Is it a good time for gold stocks? I need a materials stock for my TFSA or Cash account. If not this one can you please suggest another? Please deduct neccessary questions credits. Thank you.

Q: I am looking at some of my struggling stocks- any comments on whether greener pastures are better found elsewhere and where to go?
Q: I would appreciate your overview comments on Chemtrade Logistics press release today of their 2024 guidance and the 10% increase in their dividend.
Thank you
Thank you
Q: What differentiates NXT from other recent IPO’s such as ARRY or FTCI to make NXT a top solar investment idea for 2024?
Q: I have in my RRSP $60,000 in this fund for many years original $37000 investment, should I leave my funds in TDB3088 Or there is better alternative.
Q: Hi 5i team. What do you make of Tourmaline's January 14 news regarding their EP activity update and dividend news? The stock has been taking quite a kicking today. Can you shed any light on why the market is down on this name? Thanks.
Q: Could I please get your view on WCP? I am currently down a $1.8K. Hold or move on?
Q: I see opportunity here to purchase a company that has a single resolvable problem that will not cost any more capital other than that which was lost. Reputational damage will be in the rearview mirror in 12 months. Likely sooner than that the shareprice will begin catching the developing favorable winds of the precious metals sector.

Q: Good morning,
I own a substantial amount of MAW 108 in my Non Registered, TFSA and RRSP accounts.
After reviewing the numerous questions relating to VFV ETF and closely examining the annual performance of MAW 108 over the last 15 years, it is clear to me that VFV ETF has performed much better on the whole over a long period and that VFV or HXS would have been a better choice .
Given that there would be substantial capital gains tax incurred by replacing MAW 108 with VFV ETF or HXS ETF in my Non Registered account and therefore not an appealing option, what are your thoughts on:
Q1. Replacing MAW 108 with VFV or HXS in my TFSA and RRSP accounts;
Q2. Are there any withholding tax considerations in holding VFV or HXS in my TFSA and RRSP accounts?
Q3, Is VFV your preferred recommendation over HXS ETF, ZSP ETF, XUS ETF for holdings in a TFSA and RRSP account?
Thank you and I will await your usual sage and valuable advice.

Q: I am down $3,800.00 on ZWB (15% of portfolio) and down $9,600.00 on ZWK (2% of portfolio).
What is your view on the banking sector. Do you see a full recovery or is it going to take a while? Should I hold or cut back?

Q: Good Morning
Your answer to a recent question regarding the difficulty selling your losers certainly hit home with me. I had bought ARKK pretty much at the peak buying into the Cathy Wood hype and also placating my need to not miss out on the next “Big Thing”. The fund as you know invests in many new innovation and concept stocks.
Would you endorse a switch to something like Celsius? You have been positive on this stock months ago and I wished I pulled the trigger then.
Thank you

Q: PSA
i find it funny that the media fawns over these great companies; gushing over their collective 2023 'huge gains
never mentioning that 5 of 7 haven't even made it back to their 2021 price
so those unlucky enough to have bought at the last euphoria (fall 2021) or almost breaking even
(and yes, i agree these are some fabulous businesses)
good luck

- AbbVie Inc. (ABBV)
- Eli Lilly and Company (LLY)
- iShares Global Healthcare Index ETF (CAD-Hedged) (XHC)
- Vanguard Health Care ETF (VHT)
Q: I currently own XHC.
I see that VHT has a lot lower MER. Does it make sense to make a switch?
I assume VHT is more North America while XHC is global?
Also have about 4% in ABBV in an Registered Account with a 52% return. (thank your;)
Would it make sense to cut this down to 2% and add LLY?
LLY has had quite a run the last couple of years and that can be scary. Does LLY have a good runway?
Thanks.

Q: Any idea why CSU and LMN have gone to the moon in the very recent past? I know CSU has a stellar history and story, but really.... Sure CSU fundamentals are great, but it is behaving like NVDA has in the past.
Q: I recently sold BNS to harvest a capital loss with intention of repurchasing it after 30 days. In the meantime, I purchased ZEB while the 30 period passes. Is ZEB considered a "similar" security and therefore, I am unable to claim this loss?

Q: I have read most of the recent Q&A on CSU, TOI AND LMN. I understand that they operate in different jurisdictions, have like minded management teams and are majority controlled by CSU. What I don’t understand is why the market loves CSU and LMN and doesn’t have that same love forTOI. What am I missing? Also, what is the probability that the recent run up in LMN stock price mimics the early run that TOI had, and then drops back and stays lower for several years.
Thanks
Greg
Thanks

Q: Can you provide an analysis of this REIT? What are the principal risks associated and is the dividend stable? Would this stock be considered “defensive” in nature? With a 9.7% dividend, is it something an income seeking retiree with a moderate risk tolerance should consider. Are there any less risk alternatives you would suggest?

Q: Good afternoon all;
I have a developing opinion (still sorting it out) that it may be time to increase overseas holdings; I have underrepresented them significantly in the past 5 years. I am particularly looking at the African and SE Asian (ex China) economies. While I understand these may not be questions fully in your wheelhouse, your views would be appreciated.
- Do you concur that, subject to Black Swan events, we could expect overseas economies to outperform Canada in the coming few years?
- What geographic areas would you put focus on?
- Do you have 2 or 3 ETF's that may suit such a strategy? DGS is one that has peaked my curiosity.
Thanks for your assistance as always.
