Q: I have held Northwest Healthcare for several years and have a small net gain primarily due to the distributions. I am considering a sale of NWH.UN and the purchase of a Canadian listed residential REIT which has its property holdings in the USA. I am considering Milestone Apartment REIT (MST.UN) and Pure Multifamily REIT (RUF.UN). Would you please give me your opinion of which REIT is better to fill a vacancy in my portfolio? Is there a similar REIT that you would prefer to these two?
With appreciation,
Ed

Q: Good Morning,

Several of the Marijuana growing IPOS are showing tremendous gains recently with the legalization across CA, and prospectively within Canada. I wanted your take on the future of that industry. Are we looking at a dot com type buy out situation as the BW or PM get into the game with existing infrastructure or so you foresee a fizzles end to hype. Would you join the party, if so where?

Thanks,

Eric

Q: 3 ETF growth portfolio: In the April 2016 issue of MoneySense magazine, on page 14, there is an article titled, "A Growth Portfolio for the Long Term" It is made up of these ETF's. I did a backtest assuming the portfolio began on Nov. 18, 2013. The total return is 34.55%, or 11.61% per year. What is your opinion of these ETF's and this combination for a long term sleep-well-at-night portfolio? Are there other ETF's you'd suggest? (IWO perhaps?) BTW, no rush to answer this question.

Q: This is more of a portfolio management or investor psychology question. I am trying to determine when I should sell a stock. I am currently up 71% and have exited half my position already. The stock has continued to climb almost in a straight line since selling. I have crystalized exactly half my gains with the other half being unrealized. I don’t want to be a victim of just selling a stock because its up. I also don’t want to possibly give up the unrealized gains since its a smaller company. What's your thoughts?

Q: Hello Peter and Ryan,
All three stocks are hitting all time highs. This is a good sign. They all seem to have good fundamentals and technicals. Given that they hit all time highs, if i want to increase my position, is it best to wait for a pull back or just allocate the money and in the long run getting them 4 or 5% cheaper won't matter much. Please advise. Thanks

Q: Hello 5i team,
I wanted to add a technology sector company and was wondering of the current stocks in the BE portfolio, which one has the most room to grow? They are all doing very well.
Thanks,
Andrew

Q: I am nearing retirement. Most of my savings is in a non registered account (75% non registered and 25% RRSP). Can you suggest tax efficient ways of managing the fixed income portion of the non registered component? I understand ZBD and BXF are tax efficient. Would you recommend these or do you have any other ideas? MERs are important and I noticed the management fee for BXF is about .2%. With a return of only about 1% does an investment in this make sense?
