Q: Hi 5i Team,

This is a general question on your balanced model portfolio. After making some significant gains in the oil sector over the past couple years, I'm entirely in cash now and looking to establish a safer portfolio for the longer term (I'm 41). I see that you set March 31st as the start date for the portfolio, does this mean that you will select a new set of stocks at this point based on the best value available, or does the list remain the same. I'm not rushing in to anything at the moment, so would be willing to wait until March 31st if you reevaluate at that point. I'm new to your service and find all the information extremely helpful.

Thanks!

Q: In an answer to a member's question yesterday about Canadian stocks with high dividends, you said: "Looking at names with a market-cap above $100M, we see NBZ (13%)...".

Northern Blizzard cut their dividend in half in early December; it's now .24 cents per year, paid monthly. At the current share price of CAD $3.63, the div yield is actually 6.6%, not 13%.

Q: Hello, Thanks for your wonderful note about the Altagas subscription recipts. This seems to be case of heads, I win a decent amount (10+%) tails i still win some (2.8%+). I called my broker he says Ala.r is trading in the open market..not in ipo any longer. I wanted to clarify if Ala.r is the correct symbol if i were to go through with this..actually i already did make small purchase. Now thinking about half position. Thanks again.

Q: Could you comment on this morning's press release from Callidus. Is there anything material, or is it just an update that things are progressing as expected. Would you still expect a privatization to occur at $20+. The press release says that "Catalyst Capital Group...remains committed to completing a transaction on terms that will ensure the continued protection of the interests of its public shareholders."

Q: Hello 5i team,
I bought these 2 stocks roughly 3.5 years back. Vale was bought at $13 and slx was bought at $49. Both are picking up momentum and my question is whether I should get out when they approach my entry price and go with something else. slx is currently at $45 and vale at $12. I am more reluctant to part with slx since it covers the steel space but vale has a huge depth.

Or should I stay in and see how much they can appreciate?

Thanks,
Andrew

Q: Greetings: since your January report on FSV the company has posted quarterly and full year 2016. The stock responded well. Can you comment on your prior concerns about valuation? They raised dividend, so I assume they are confident in the future. I have owned it since before the spinoff and am up over 100%. My position is still less than 5% because I sold Colliers, which was half of my original position, but I am even more concerned about valuation now since the rise in share price. Should I be? Just wondering if it is time to move on, but reluctant to sell winner. Thanks
