Q: Trivago with its ubiquitous advertising is up 53% this year yet not one question has been asked in 5i and articles are even scant in seeking alpha. Acknowledging that it's a U.S. company with a 3 digit forward PE do you have any perspectives on it at this time?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Q: Do you know how to simply purchase a single stock as a gift for a child. Thanks.
Q: Please, Peter: Forward earnings for TMB look exceptionally good, ratings, too. TMB is much more than softwood lumber, including a lot of earnings coming from a specialized pulp (prices up, WTO ruled largely in Canada's favour with China in a tariff dispute)yet TMB has traded in a very NARROW range over the last 3 months or so and continues to do so. OK, TMB is a risk because of high debt... but can you explain the reason for the narrow trading range? I'm thinking it might be a big company like Fairfax, somehow able to buy and sell in a way that affects the price in this way but I don't know anything about how to dig further to get an answer to "why this range"?

Q: My only gold holding is McEwen Mining (MUX)and I am looking at either Kirkland Lake (KL) or B2Gold (BTO).
BTO has almost one billion shares outstanding while KL has less than 200M although their respective market caps are close in size. Is this a determining factor and which one would you favour, and why?
MUX was my first choice because the CEO owns 25% of the company, he has a great track record and they have no debt. Good choice?
Thank you.

Q: Interested in your thoughts on last week's acquisition by Hamilton Thorne of Gynemed GmbH & Co. What impact do you see on future earnings. The market appears to like the deal.
Q: Can you tell me what you think about this company!
Q: Hello,
How do subscription receipts work? How do you purchase them? Do you think the subscription receipts coming for SIS are a good investment? Thanks Luke

Q: Hi, could you update your current view on this company? I remain very interested in the VR and AR sector since it seems like it is high growth mode. Last year SEV had a serious set-back with the CEO's untimely death, but it seems like they are finding their footing again. They mentioned recently some important agreements signed and are moving to a larger building. Do you see this as a good time to take a speculative position on it? Or do you see one of the major tech companies (who?) just overtaking the market? If so would SEV be a potential takeover target or just get squeezed out over time? Your perspective on this space is appreciated.
Q: Can you please rank the three pipeline utility companies: IPL, PPL, and ENB. I'm particularly interested to see your thoughts given the PPL/VSN deal and the big drop in PPL's share price.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Q: This high yielding lender has held up reasonably well considering home capital. It's earnings come out may 4. In your opinion is it a fairly safe hold, an opportunity or too small so likely to be caught in the recent contagion. Thanks for your advice Tom
Q: Do you know when MAL, BOS and XTC report Q1? What one should expect given the industries and companies..?

Thank you
Q: Hi, I'm looking for growth companies in the Financial sector, either Canada or US. I already have major banks covered, and not a big fan of the "payday loan" type companies that finance at very high rates such as gsy. Do you have any recommendations here, in the context of likely 2 small interest rate hikes per year in the US for the next couple of years, and generally positive economy?
Q: I notice that Savaria Corp is having its annual meeting on May 15. They have also called it a special meeting. Could you elaborate on the reasons why a "special meeting" would be held? Thanks!
Q: What are your thoughts on BDI? Does it show any signs of recovery? Is it worth holding? Thks guys.
Q: I Have held arc energy for years while collecting their dividend that has been reduced. There is buy ratings on the stock and insider buying.Would you recommend averaging down at this time.

Q: I am interested in investing in small cap companies and am fully aware of the risks involved. However, conversely, I believe that there are potential mid term gains. Please advise me of your top 5 small cap companies that I could put on my watch list with the possibility of eventually investing in them. Thanks for your considered thoughts
Q: Hi could I get your input on GCL,

Q: Do you think HFD is a good way to play the housing bubble or any problems with mortgage lenders?
My thinking is that there is more to come as incomes have substantially lacked the stratospheric rise in housing prices.
Any other ideas you would have to bet against this scenario.
Thanks as always
