Q: Hello! I would appreciate your intake on the recent surge in PHM stock price as well as the volume of transactions. I am down 50% and is considering averaging down. This is a very small portion of my portfolio and unfortunately, it is in my TFSA.
Thanks!
Thanks!
- Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (BIP.UN)
- Brookfield Global Infrastructure Securities Income Fund (BGI.UN)
Q: Aside from the market cap, which is pretty obvious, could you explain the difference between these two funds. In particular why/how BGI pays almost twice the dividend. I have held BIP for quite a while and done really well with it, but can't help looking at BGI.
Thank-you

Q: Hey guys, thanks in advance! I'm wondering how I should allocate stocks across my TFSA and 2 different RESPs. I've been sticking to the balanced portfolio and I'm wondering if 12 stocks in my TFSA and 4 in each RESP is a good idea, or if the RESP's should be more diversified. Any advice would be great. There are 20 stocks total, all equal weight. Thanks.
Q: With INTL announcing the purchase of this company, MBLY's valuation is quite extended now. Going forward, what is your opinion of how much further MBLY stock price can go? Thanks
Q: Good morning.
My questions in pertaining these 2 high risk and volatile stocks that I currently hold: Photon Control--pho (4% position) and Synergy Pharmaceutical--sgyp (7% position). Both have come down and I was wondering if you would add to each. I have somewhat of high risk, high potential reward tolerance and 1 to 2 yr wait and see timeline. Thx

Q: Hello saviors,
Can you explain how beta of a security is different from equity risk premium? Aren't they essencially saying the same? Can you give me an example when you are comparing them?
Do you know a website that I can learn more about such topics?
Thank you!

Q: AcuityAds (AT.v) reported excellent quarterly and year-end operating results this week, while showing impressive growth and execution from its acquisition of 140 Proof. Their acquisition of U.S.-based Visible Measures announced on Thursday seems unbelievably cheap and financing it at a 6% discount very reasonable. Liquidity remains an issue though some of the founders are releasing more of their extensive holdings as part of today's financing to increase supply.

Q: In anticipation of Peter's 2017 prediction that "the markets will take a huge dip sometime in 2017" (financial post article dec 29 2016), can I ask for 5 Canadian and 5 American stocks to look for that are fundamentally good, (not in debt, growing earnings and leaders in there industry), sectors are irrelevant.

Q: Hi, you had commented a while back on Market Call that you needed to "do more work" on AcuityAds to look at growth potential versus valuation. Since there there has been additional news, including an aquisition today as well as the opening of an office in Europe. Have you had a chance yet to look at the company in more detail, and if so what is your current view? The CEO looks top-notch to me and they seem to be laying out a good path forward to make this a much bigger company.
Q: Auto Canada has recently been recommended on BNN. However reports give the company a strong buy to underperform. I would appreciate your comments. A good long term investment?
Q: Good opportunity to add more TD ? Thx J
Q: Can you comment on Pollard's intention to acquire 100% of Innova? What does Innova do? Do you see this as an accretive acquisition if it goes through?

Q: Just a quick question on Sylogist. With a good amount of cash, no debt and a nice dividend, at what point - or more appropriately, at what price does one load up on shares? Even if they have a flat year or modest growth as they 'change', they seem very well positioned afterwards.
Thanks in advance,
J.
