Q: With Milestone sale now going through, do you think the mutual funds that held it, would be looking at other US real estate funds like Tricon, Morguard Reit, Pure Multi Reit, and out of these 3 how would you rate them for buys at this time.
Thank you so much

Q: Noticed a question earlier about the convertible debentures (TCN.DB.U); just wanted to bring to attention that this is a USD denominated debenture and the conversion price of $10.46 is also quoted in USD. So, based on the current CAD/USD rate this was issued at the typical premium as the concurrent subscription receipt offering was at $9.90 CAD, and the stock is still trading below the conversion price which would be roughly $13.90 at today's CAD/USD rate.

Q: How do Callidus Capital's earnings look?

What do you think of management's comment "Early expressions of interest support initial valuations that would translate into a price received by tendering shareholders that is consistent with the previously disclosed valuation range provided by National Bank Financial ($18 to $22 per share) that accompanied the SIB in April 2016".

I'm thinking about initiating a position but get I also get nervous when management starts throwing out guesses as to what they think their shares are worth.

Thanks.

John

Q: Had a bond mature and am considering replacing it with TCN.DB.U. Seems like a pretty good deal, 5.75% 31-MAR-2022 maturity with conversion at 10.46. It's trading at 103.00 and TCN is at 10.90 so you get over double the yield and it should trade with TCN because its already above the conversion rate. Some convertibles come to market with the conversion price 30, 40, 60% above current equity price. Why did this new TCN convertible come to market already at the conversion price?

Q: Could you please give your view on the SHORT Position Report on the TSX. From time to time I refer to it before making a purchase. I wonder how much I should let it influence my buy moves. The whole Shorting concept confuses me. As a retail investor looking today at the "20 Largest Consolidated Short Position Report" I would seemingly avoid banks, pipelines and lifeco's TD, BNS, BCE,TRP, GWO etc etc. Do you think this metric forshadows a market downturn in bluechip div holders? Thanks for you service as always.
