Q: After a long period of sustained growth, this company'share , since more two years is consistenly declining, except for the last month where some upward movement seems take place. From your point de vue is it a turning point and what is your appreciation on the next future (2-3 years) of the company?

Thank you so much in advance.

Q: Looking to invest a portion of available cash into solid smallish-cap companies that have yet to move towards their fair value that could be reached in a more positive part of the cycle - which I am guessing/assuming is coming. Please provide suggestion in either Canadian and/or US markets.

Q: Hello 5i team,
You mentioned in a question about the balance portfolio that some equities are on watch based on their slow or bad performance. One of these was CAE. It has been in a negative momentum decline since early 2021.

What are your thoughts about continuing to hold this stock going into 2024? It has a pretty decent backlog but will most if it come to fruition?

Thank You,
Andrew

Q: Hello Peter,
What is the difference between byddf and byddy and does it matter which one i invest in.. I believe both are over the counter and if so, is there risk in buying over the counter? Lastly, do you see byd company as a major competitor to TSLA and would a small position make sense at this point or have I missed the boat? Much appreciated.

Q: Hi 5i
I read your comments on recent DOO earnings...given your response highlighting slowing economy, share buybacks ect, would you be comfortable holding...I understand one qtr earnings loss does not constitute a trend , but the rush to the exits is of course worrisome,,,,,does your thesis change for this one?.

Recently acquired position.... Held on RRSP so no opportunity for tax loss selling..however 2 year outlook.

thx

Q: In previous questions on BAM and BN 5i has generally shown a preference for BN for capital gains and BAM for income investors . In a question by Peter this morning 5i's answer showed a year to date return of 25% for BAM and 14% for BN {assuming that squiggly line in front of BN doesn't mean a loss } .... I realize the period is short but what is the historical return of each versus each other from inception of the newer security ? { And which one is the newer security and how long has it existed ? } ..... And if BN doesn't come out a clear winner please explain your thesis on income versus capital gains ?..... I am considering buying one of them in my RRIF ..... Thanks Garth

Q: I just dumped DOO for tax loss and need a proxy in that C Discretionary space. Can you advice on a couple of options?

I suspect some C Discretionary CO’s might have some momentum here as well.
