Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: I own crh in my tfsa, the loss is 80% and the current market value of the stock is just over $1400. I concur that the stock is on a losing ride and will probably fall even more for stock loss selling but since that doesn't apply to me. Is there a case for just holding on to a really lousy stock and perhaps there might be a turn around way down the road. As always thank you.

Q: I bought Ric just slightly before the agi announcement. I see that the vote will take place next week and it looks like voters will vote for the takeover of ric. I would like to know if there is a good enough reason for me to keep ric.
I already have KL and some MUX which seems not to be very robust these days. What are your thoughts please. Thank you.

Q: Hi - I am looking for a mid-cap gold stock to buy. Do you have any recommendations? I'm looking for a company with good management that has "some skin in the game". I also prefer a decent balance sheet, and is a possible future take-out target in the future. Thanks.

Q: So you write that the qtr. was challenging, and it missed analysts call by a couple of cents, but with same store sales up 7.3% and revenue up 10.1%, if DOL reported this growth, the stock would rise. Since they have gone public again, management says growth has been higher that they projected. As Warren Buffet said once , one of his companies earning were in line, it was the analysts who got it wrong and did a poor job, blame them not the company.
