Q: Good morning 5i team,
I am 72, have no private pension, a diversified portfolio (50/50 asset mix RRIF included; no real estate holdings other than my residence), with a 10-year "quality" bond ladder in my RRIF to cover CRA withdrawals. I have funds available in my RRIF, and am considering an investment in REI for income and long-term capital appreciation. I would appreciate your thoughts, and any suggestions other than REI to achieve income and some growth in the RRIF.

Q: EFN came out with an outlook that was a bit gloomy, expecting earnings to be down a few percent, yet the stock and the rate reset bond dropped by about a third. They say that a "turnaround" in earnings is not due until 2020. The yield on the bond is now well over 8.5%. Can you give me your opinion of this rate reset bond? and of the company's prospects? Is the dividend safe?

Q: Good Evening
My analysis of the information provided by my broker indicates that the insiders own approximately 34% of the common shares and the CEO about 24% of the outstanding shares. Are these figures correct? In addition, they are now buying their own stock.
I hesitate to sell because of the above noted information although I am down 14% in a non-registered account.
Do you advise holding, averaging down or selling XTC?
As always I appreciate your comments.

support is seen in present market downturn. Would you agree with me that your decision to discontinue coverage was premature or is a company is removed automatically when rating is cut to C or lower.
