Q: Hi Peter,
In a well diversified portfolio, which India fund would you hold (from the list above or another) ? Why is FIH/U currently agging the others ? We already own FFH; Is buying FIH/U as well too much Fairfax ?
Thank you, Paul

Q: PHM finally split yesterday. Should I keep both, PHM & spin off Viamed. Thanks!
As a result of the Arrangement, among other things, shareholders of PHM (the "Shareholders"), as of close of business on December 21, 2017, received one new PHM common share (a "New PHM Share") and one-tenth (1/10) of one common share of Viemed (a "Viemed Share") for each common share of PHM held by such Shareholder immediately before the completion of the Arrangement.

Q: Please forgive my attempt to confuse everyone at 5i. This Cannabis business & all its many names can be confusing. However, in my late evening email to you, I stupidly entered ACB instead of CBW. My basic concern was really whether this FV FARMA has the financing or the ability to get the financing to develop this very large project.

Q: Good Morning 5i team,

re: Cannabis... QCC gained 50% in the past 3 weeks and over 25% today after announcing the first two sales of their patented BOSS CO2 Extraction System. And expectations have it there are a number of additional sales expected in January with many more in the pike.

I know you have told us this is a small company with little attention being paid, so it is risky. Cannabis Oil is they wave of the future and from what I have learned, this BOSS system is impressive. I also know extraction of "high quality" Oil is a difficult process to master and it sounds like these guys have figured it out.

Would I be a fool to invest in this company?

Thanks for all you do

gm

Q: Hello Peter,
Any idea why Andrew Peller has surged in the last month. Everyday it goes up a little amounting to a sizable increase over a month? Also, can you see a case for a company like Andrew Peller to form joint ventures with Cannibis companies to create a wine/cannibis combination? Covalon Technologies has done well this year but I would have thought with their recent numbers, I would have expected the surge in price to continue. Also, when some companies beat the numbers, they barely move while others take off. Is this because the market thinks the former is not a true growth story and with with time if the company continues to do well, the market finally realizes the story . Finally, i just wanted to add that your service in terms of information and timely responses is truly appreciated and sincere wishes for the holiday season. Many many thanks.

Q: I've just read a news release by Kirkland about a mine they own in Austr.
I have limited knowledge of all the tech. facts they quote but seem to remember other miners bragging about ore containing 8-10 grs/ton.
The #s given by KL seem outlandish by comparison.
Can you fill me in as to whether this is even believable and what course of action woulld be warranted considering I want to get involved in the gold sector.
Thank you for your great service. Harry.

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
How are annual portfolio returns calculated? I thought I knew but now am not sure. I thought Dec 31 was the date that everyone did there mathematics...measuring the difference that occurred during that year. Are there other ways? For example can you just use any day during the year that your portfolio hit its high and use that number? In other words is there accounting consistency between the financial institutions and retail investors or is there a little manipulation for marketing purposes? Thanks for the clarification.
