Q: My husband and I are seniors. I look after our portfolios (RIFFS, TFSAS and cash account containing US and Canadian securities. Thanks to your SPLENDID advice, we are up 26% on the year. I tend to let the winners run without taking profits. Should I consider doing this on a regular basis and at what stage? Again, our gratitude for your dedication to provide thoughtful advice to members.

Q: Hello

I have been holding on to Wells Fargo for the last few years and unfortunately have missed the run up with the other US banks. Its currently in my TFSA, I've been considering selling and purchasing BAC or JPM. Which one would you recommend, is there still some upside? Etrade Financial (although more online trading platform) is another option, what are your thoughts?

Thanks!

Q: By complete luck I bought a good chunk of aurora a couple days ago which played off nicely yesterday and today. Any idea why the big jump? Also I have been reading and this article just came out. https://www.newcannabisventures.com/aurora-cannabis-converts-remaining-2018-debentures/

I don't fully understand everything in it. So bassicly they will be converting debentures into more shares? Does it effect your current shares? It's good right?

Q: I’m assuming that the holdings of PMIF are identical to PMO005, which are 48% securitized; 38% government; 22% corporate; 13% other.

Question 1: what is meant by ‘securitized’? Is that a good thing in a bond fund?

I’ve spent a day researching C$ bond ETFs and the more I research, the more confused I become.

Question 2: Is PMIF about as good as any other bond ETF out there?
I’m not too concerned about fees or yield, as what I’m looking for is low volatility, preservation of capital, with a reasonable total return.

Thanks.

Q: I purchased ITP in Sep 2016 just below $23. It has been a "rocky road" since then, especially sine late July of this year. I hold about a 6% position in a reasonable well diversified RRSP account. I am looking to continue this RRSP for another 5 years or so. I suppose I am looking for some reassurance that the company will still be in business by the time I divest. I would appreciate your thoughts about the company over the next 5 years or so (as much as that is possible for anyone to provide). Thank you.

Q: I have made a bit of money with Teva over the years. Kare Schultz is new leader and it looks like he recently successfully turned Ludbeck around----350% in last three years. I am watching Teva stock price plunge and am considering to get back in the next six weeks or so.

What are your thoughts ----at what stock price becomes great value

Q: I have a well diversified CND and US portfolio. I have done well on both SWKS and WBA in the US but wonder if its time to move on from these names due to better opportunities elsewhere? If so, what would you recommend to replace them with and why (can be in different sectors),
Thanks for the great service!
