Q: If Nafta gets ripped up, the auto industry in North America stands to be severely disrupted. In the short term I expect many will get hurt. I'm thinking I should be proactive and sell-off Magna now while it is still near its top. But what to replace it with? Does TB (Toronto Dominion BanK) stand to show a major growth spurt once its new AI acquisition is in place and providing heretofor unavilable information on its clients? I hope your 2018 is as good as 2017 was.

Q: Hello,
I hold BIP.UN and AQN in my RSP and am considering lightening up in the utility space.
I hold them in equal amounts, if I am considering selling one position what would you recommend ? I consider them to be medium term (3-5 year) positions.
Thanks as always .. appreciate the advice.

Q: I feel like I'm consulting an oracle here but I am wondering what your thoughts are on an impending correction. My concern is with respect to the amount of people chasing up tech and marijuana stocks especially. Everything has risen so much in the last 6-12 months that I can't help but think we are over due for a pullback. Would it be wise to sit on the sidelines and wait? I hate to miss out on the party but I'd rather lose a bit of upside here and be able to take advantage of a possible major pullback than be the last one out the door after the party is over. Thanks in advance.

Q: I have now read the Jan 8, 2018 research by Beacon Securities, and the Jan 5, 2018 Equity Spotlight by Scotiabank. Beacon has a target of $10.00 and Scotiabank's 1 year target is $3.50. One believes that the current pot legalization frenzy has siphoned off big money from the likes of PLI stock. The other believes that this is the year science will finally give PLI the push it needs to really grow. I'm ready to go big or go home if I see a real upward trend in the making. PLI has huge potential, and it probably has huge negatives that I can't even imagine. Where do you think this stock is going in 2018?

Q: Hi Peter, PEO has pulled back some from its recent highs. Is this a good time to buy or is something negative starting here with the company? Looking at the chart every recent little pullback has been a buying opp. I am looking for a 2018 tfsa candidate that has big potential, but yet fairly solid. Also can you comment on the overall macro environment for People's business and the outlook for the demand of their services.

Q: Hello 5i team,

Am a break even CWC shareholder and participated in the $0.20 rights offering last month. Just went through their presentation PDF from a conference today.

With service sector performing better in the US and oil patch guys getting more $$, might there finally be interest in this company controlled by BAM?

Thanks, Alan

Q: Good Evening,

I am currently light on financials. I have a 2.8% position in SLF, 3.4% position in BNS and a 2.6% position in GSY. Would you recommend adding to these, or starting a position in ECN or something else. I am a long term investor who doesn't mind some risk.

Thanks,
Janet

Q: This stock was talked about by an technical analyst at BNN recently. The chart was trending down for a long time and recently started to break out to the upside and he thought it would be a good time to enter this stock. Also, on BNN ET was a favourite. Could you give me your opinion on these two questions? Thank you very much. Long time member Dennis
