Q: GoldMoney has traded down now to its 200 day moving average. I'm guessing due to drop in hype over crypto-currencies. What do you think of the company at this valuation? It looks like they report in February, any clues as to how they are executing recently?

Q: What is your opinion on Fidelity Can.Large Cap B (Fid.231)?
It still has 4 Stars, but had zero return in 2017.
What do you see in the future for this fund?
Thank you.

Q: Am I correct in being a bit nervous about the tech sector getting ahead of itself? I own the above stocks in tech. I have trimmed SHOP from about 12% down to 7%, and I own about 6% in the others, (all with good gains). So - still about 25% tech. I've thought of selling all tech and sitting on the sidelines for a few months, or, just making a trim to reflect a balance. How would you suggest I proceed to further? Thanks, as always.
Q: Hi Peter & 5i group.
The CEO of CGX was interviewed the other day, (which seemed to me to quite positive), if you happened to catch the interview, what is your opinion on taking a full position now.
Thanks,
Ken

Q: Sales increase, price per ton increasing, but EBITDA not so much. What is your long term view on frac sands companies. Deepwater and oil sands are not where I want to be.

Q: Hi: I am considering buying XID and was wondering if this is a good time given the strong recent performance of the "nifty-fifty". thx, J
Q: Auto Industry
Supposedly a good time to invest in the auto industry is when the economy is coming out of recession and interest rates are low: at time when people haven't been buying cars, but soon will. (Which sounds like where we are now, right ??)
But a lot of financial commentators are saying that it is "too late in the cycle" to invest in autos. Is there in fact a "cycle" or is this phrasing just another way of saying "car sales are slow right now" ?
When do you think auto sales will pick up ?

Q: Good Morning Team,
Would you be able to give us an update on both of these and let us know which one you prefer? Why? Or would you buy both to diversify?
It is still January, so Happy 2019 everyone!

Q: Hi,
Can you suggest 1 or 2 good DOW etfs, both hedged and unhedged. I am leaning toward unhedged at the moment as our dollar is quite strong.
Thank You, John

Q: I would like to buy a US stock for my son’s RRSP account. I am considering BAC Bank of America. With current value of CAD/US is it a good time to buy into US market using CDn dollars or should I just stay in the Canadian stocks. Any other US stock suggestions ?

Q: I have a question about Gold. Specifically I would understand gold to a be good risk hedge against rising interest rates. Looking to take a position in one or more gold companies with some potential for growth....any suggestions would be appreciated. Maybe a couple higher risk small caps and also some big players....Gold Corp seems like they are doing well recently.

- Align Technology Inc. (ALGN)
- Cognex Corporation (CGNX)
Q: Thanks for your recent reply -- but I think my question was misunderstood.
While I thank you for the recommendations on SQ, CGNX and ALGN, they are all in the Technology sector, which is something I would like to move away from at this time.
Even if I retain a 5% position in Netflix, Nvda and Shopify, that would bring me to a 15% in my portfolio, which I think 5I suggests should be a good enough weighting at this time.
Could you please provide a few names, with good growth, outside of tech? Your favourites?
Please deduct as many points as is required -- as I've got lots in store. : ) Sorry for being such a pest, but I suppose my first question was misunderstood?
Thank you!

Q: My TFSA Account is primarily made up of the stocks indicated above. In 2017, my net performance was around 2.8%. Would you provide suggestions for a growth stock with reasonable valuations that might help boost performance in 2018 and advise on a reasonable price for point of entry? Also, are there stocks that I hold that you view as a trade at this point with the goal of achieving a reasonable return with moderate risk?
Q: Hey there,
I am interested in US large cap value stocks. Is there an ETF on the tsx will give me exposure? If not, do you have a recommendation for an ETF in the US?
Thanks

Q: You mentioned that for ETF's that up to 10% holding is fine, would holding XGD up to 10% be okay if you only have TFSA account and is only around $20,000 and this would be the only material sector stock that you own or is this too high. Currently have a 5% weight.
Thanks
