Thanks.
Thanks.

Q: I can't add to my RIF, I can't put more than $5,500 in my TFSA annually, so my unregistered cash account is holding shares that will mean major capital gains. I have trimmed periodically, but currently ATD.B is up 1,068 %, SQ up 119%, NVDA up 324%, SHOP up 207%, BYD.UN up 118%. I am not complaining. I offer 5i my sincere thanks for your advice over several years that has been so rewarding. I tend to hold overly long , so I am wondering whether I should in future sell when a stock has reached, say 40%, and buy another stock? What to do?
Q: It is now clear that money laundering has been occurring at some of GC's casinos in BC. In particular at the River Rock casino. The Director of VIP Guest Relations has had her registration revoked by the BC Lottery Corp. GC is being investigated by the RCMP and it appears that GC could suffer other financial penalties. Should this be a concern and should investors be cautious?
Q: I have some Avigilon stock and thinking of selling and buying Blackberry, what are your thoughts? If not Blackberry any suggestions and is this a good time to sell Avigilon?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Hi, is there a Preliminary release of results expected on February 22 ? Thanks
Q: Have you finally come to understand STB and now feel it is a good long term hold for income and some growth or do you still feel it is a sell?
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks

Q: I bought Black Diamond Group LTD a few years ago, hoping it would gain with a recovery in oil. I'm currently down 36%. I am getting paid to wait as there is a 9.71% yield. But, is it worth the wait? Should I sell and move on? Or do you think it's a name that's worth holding?
Q: Peter and Team:
I already hold TV in a basket of stocks primarily picked from your balanced portfolio. I am pretty much even since purchase.
What are your thoughts about a switch to Teck.b.
I realise it is a larger company and more diversified, but wonder if there is a big difference in risk/reward between the two.
Thanks
Phil

Q: What do you like more about H than FTS?
Q: Hi, i'am trimming my portfolio and was thinking of selling Crh and Xtc both down 30+% and buying Syz for a full position.Do you sill like Syz or would you sell all. Sector not a issue as I have Gud and Mx.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: How liquid do you think this would be if I had 1000 shares to divest if and when shares strength started to wane?
Q: Hi, Sylogist stock price took a tumble on Friday, last week. A reasonable guess is large selling by a number of 5i Research members. Considering that it's been a holding in the Balanced Portfolio for many years and until recently, your advice was to be patient with this stock as it still holds growth potential. Also, it was clarified in your update that there was nothing wrong with company. In Nov/2017, company's guidance for 2018 was for Revenue of $36-38 mln and Adj EBITDA of $ 0.80-0.85 per share, which is much higher than 2017 results. CEO also mentioned that these projections did not include any future acquisitions. So, do you think, Friday's drop of 8% creates a buying opportunity ? Thanks
Q: I only have room for either VB, or GSY. With growth as the primary criteria, which would you recommend?
Q: Thanks for the recommendation on XIC. As with many ETFs linked to the Cdn market, it appears to be weighted to financials, energy and materials (~ 65%). If you were to want to cover the Canadian market in a more balanced way (sector-wise) by owning XIC and a few stocks, what stocks would you add on? Please prefer BE stocks. This is for an RRSP with a 30-year horizon. Thanks very much.
Q: I think most investing houses recognize the US is going down a path of debt destruction. What is your assessment and thoughts of the the opinions expressed by Peter Schiff as it relates to the US. He has some very compelling arguments but many think the economy is actually in great shape..?
Q: The spread between ala and ala.r has widened a little recently. Is there any word, or rumour out on their merger proceedings. Thanks.
Q: Could comment on, seems to trade lightly but seems to have decent metrics.
Q: Hello, I'm curious about the ex dividend date provided by my investment company. Is that the date - if you own stock on that date - that you earn the dividend dollars? Could i for instance a company with a dividend day of Feb 20, buy 100,000.00 of it on Feb 18, get the dividend and then sell on Feb 22? Not really a strategy I have in mind but I'd love clarification on how it works. I have some stocks I want to sell, some for tax loss purposes and some because they've gotten so high and am looking at this ex dividend date as something to consider.
Many thanks.
Dave
