Q: MX has pulled back a bit. Should a guy take some profits or continue to hold on for the long term?
Q: In early December I sold half of a position in GUD for tax loss purposes. To put the money to use I purchased a half position in PHO as a "temporary" replacement.
The plan was to then sell PHO and repurchase GUD after 30 days.
PHO has done reasonably well since then. GUD has also increased.
Based on a long term time frame and no sector impacts would you stick with the original plan and repurchase GUD to a full position or would you remain with a half position in each GUD and PHO?

Q: In your view is there any validity to the issues raised by Copperfield in its latest report on Tucows? Do you believe the news is overstated or has enough come to light here to reconsider a position?
Q: What is happening to this stock, should I hold or sell?.
Q: Hi, what do you think of Sabra Healthcare REIT (SBRA) for aging US population? How does it compare to CSH and Sienna in Canada? Is timing OK with forecasted 3 rate changes in US this year? Other better suggestions for aging US population?
Q: Smaller brokerages have been doing well lately, while still substantially below typical historical prices. Has the tide turned?
Q: Hi Peter and Team,
I have some cash sitting in a US account that I want to leave on the sidelines for now. I was thinking I should put this in something that gives me a bit of return but won't crash with markets if they crash. Is there a good proxy for cash that provides some yield that you can suggest which would be US Dollar denominated?
Thanks,
Marc

Q: Hi,
Thanks for your service. The info is very helpful. I had Veresen shares that were switched to PPL. These shares are held in a stock transfer company to take advantage of dripping. Veresen stopped dripping prior to the sale and it seems that PPL does not. My question is, did they before this purchase? Whether they did or not, do you know if they have any intention of starting. Thanks

Q: Good morning,
I am looking at buying a position in ECN Capital. Would you be comfortable at current levels? Any comments on their offer to buy service financial holdings?
Thanks in advance
Phil

Q: Can you explain in simple terms how ECN functions at a high level?
For example, in their rail vertical, are they leasing their own rail cars or connecting buyers to sellers while providing loans, or something entirely else? What makes them attractive for buyers versus going to a big bank? I'm trying to see wherein lies their competitive advantage.
Thanks.

Q: Hi all,
I was happy to see the deal announcement regarding AAR.UN this morning. I will likely look to sell now rather than wait. I am considering replacing with another REIT or in preferred shares. Considering a balanced portfolio and everything else being equal, looking for both a +4% yearly distribution return and should be a long-term hold, any suggestions? (This is held within an RRSP.) Thanks.

Q: Hi guys,
What are your current thoughts of DOO. You had a B rating on it in a previous report. The share buyback was suppose to be over in July, but recently I keep seeing more insider buying. Is this new or a continuation of the previous major share repurchase announcement. You commented in the report about their engine division (rotex?). I believe their are making these for Scarab jet boats now. Any guidance on the sale of those boats and how that 2015 sale panned out for increase engine manufacturing now that it is out of their SeaDoo brand? I hear that this engine is the best for small jet boats, so perhaps with the good marketing of Scarab, sales could be in a better trajectory. There has been good price movement in this stock lately, but I am nervous about going into a consumer based manufacturer company. You had also commented on large USD based debt in the report. As of late currency swings could be more relevant to earnings. (Also- full disclosure- i want want for me lake Huron Cottage) i could be biased. Thank you.

Q: Facebook has had a good run in the past 12 months and there is a good mix of analysts who rate it as a buy. However Pivotal Research rates it as a sell and calls for a 24% drop in the current price. What is your opinion of FB? Is Googl a better stock at this juncture or would you recommend I look at another stock in this sector.
Q: Hello Peter and team,
Further to my previous question on buying these REITS:
AAR.UN
WIR.UN
RUF.UN
NVU.UN
DRG.UN
I'd like to put them in my non-registered account but would that be tax efficient? Are there any on this list that would be better in an RRSP? Thank you.

Q: Referring to your response that the uptick in PLI is likely related to small cap bounce typical to this time of year; would you trade on that basis? I've got a nice profit and am wondering whether to hold or trade around volatility. Their financial trend is looking good, so I'm not averse to holding either.
