Q: Hello, what do you think of Foot Locker (FL) right now? If you had to choose between Nike and Foot Locker as an investment in the US cyclical sector, which one would that be and why? Comment: I have tried to look up FL in the company profile section but just can't find it, there must be something I don't do correctly? Thanks, Gervais

Q: What five ETF’s would be suitable to hold in an RRSP? I am interested in technology, healthcare, financials, energy and industrials. I am a moderately conservative investor, am looking at about a 15 year timeline and am interested in Canadian, US, global and emerging markets. Many thanks for your insights.

-
AltaGas Ltd. (ALA $39.20)

Q: In my husbands lif account we are going to need to replace enercare with safe dividend stocks. Sectors are not important. Current holdings are : A and W, BGI.un, Crius, Gamehost, RNW. Current dividends are greater than the withdrawal. We would be looking to add stocks whose dividends would be reasonable safe in an economic slow down.
How do you feel about the following strategy and please feel free to offer other suggestions or comments:
Bip.un, Bce, Alta gas, Bns-
Either fortis or Aqn
And then something with growth potential such as a corby ( as it has no debt) or transcontinental ?
We are also open to other suggestions.
Thank you.

Q: would/could added activity due to LNG in the west benefit SOX . The proposed project is massive and will generate a lot of investment ?????
Q: Feeling that Canadian stocks were due for a post NAFTA bounce, I am "all in " on Canada. My thinking is that while some companies and sectors will get an immediate boost, there is also a good chance that other Canadian companies, even ones that don't benefit too directly from NAFTA, will get another look over the medium (3 months to 1 year) term due to the improved stability of the investment environment. Obviously things can happen, but, in gneral, does this scneario make sense to you? Thank-you.
Q: Please provide your thoughts on this ETF. Thanks.
Q: do you like this ETF and would you recommend investing at this time
Q: VB finally showing signs of life again. I noticed insiders have been buying heavily lately with one of them buying 3/4 million in one transaction. Can you please tell me what the total insider ownership is? Also your take on the stock. Thanks
Q: Considering MFC position or SLF position, next week. MFC appears to have the better cash / share price ratio (29 vs 20), greater pullback from 52 wk high (16.5% vs 8.4%) and a slightly better dividend yield (3.79% vs 3.69%). SLF appears to have a tighter standard deviation than MFC, since 2012. I've seen past Q/A stating you prefer SLF over MFC. Your thoughts on these two life insure co's or other life insure co's would be appreciated.

Q: Hi Peter/Ryan,
I was holding off buying MG and NFI because of NAFTA disagreements. Now that it is a done deal is it a good time to buy these stocks or future recession may have a bigger impact on the auto sector. They are trading close to 52 week low. Magna has dropped by almost $10 since July.
Appreciate your advice.
Thanks
Ninad

Q: I've been a long time (over 10 years) owner of NLY and have added to the position several times. I'm considering adding to it again. The dividend is very high but they seem able to handle it. I had thought they would benefit from rising interest rates in the states but they seemed unaffected as the rates rose. My adviser says that it likely doesn't appreciate in price due to the fact that many investors just don't understand their business. I would be happy if all I ever made on this was the current dividend.

Q: I am retired and try to have a portfolio that pays me a dividend, is relatively safe and shows a little growth. My portfolio is primarily made up of banks, pipelines, telecoms and utilities. I own these listed utilities but am wondering if I have too much overlap. If you were to recommend selling one of them, which one would it be ?

Q: Hi team,
They both have bounced due to LNG (still) speculative developments. Would you wait a few months or would you buy now? BDI used to be your favourite. Which one would you choose now? Why?
Have a wonderful weekend!
