Q: Could you talk a little about the company’s move into oil, I thought it is a pure gas play? I bought it on a gas turn around in the next couple of years but this recent Montey discovery is a big surprise.
Thanks

Q: Hi There,
Have you heard of RDI Research Driven Research company who claim to
offer some free research? How are they compensated since it is free?
In your opinion is it worth consideration or am I likely always going to get
an optimistic viewpoint so I buy the stock?

Q: I bought Polaris Infrastructure recently recently and am curious about it's history.
In 2015 the stock traded for about 6800.00 if google finance is correct. A stock split in 2005 of 1:2000. Working it's way down to 800.00 in 2011 then 10.00 in 2015 and now at 20.00 after a gradual climb. Please describe what you know about what looks to my eyes like a strange history. Please talk about the management as well.
Thank You

Q: Hi, Peter and Ryan, I am in a postion to adjust my well diversified portfolio by adding to 2 of the above currently owned companies or additionally adding RME to the portfolio. My cash position is 4.6% at this time. What is your recommendation today? Alternatively there is no rush so do I wait a bit longer.

Q: Hi there, of the 3 names listed, which would you recommend for an investor with a longterm outlook (10+ years) who doesn't mind the volatility of names such as SHOP, SIS, KXS, TOY, DOO, KL, if it means potentially more growth. Thanks!

Q: Hi, I have a 1/3 position in Allergan (AGN), down about 40%. Michael Waterhouse, a Morningstar analyst, makes a strong case that Allergan is considerably undervalued. I’m thinking of adding to my position and would appreciate your opinion. I also hold full positons in GILD, CSH.UN and GUD, as part of a well-diversified portfolio.
Thanks, Kevin

Q: I read with great interest your response to a recent query regarding Mackenzie Floating Rate Income. I have the same goal as the member who asked the initial question. Under what circumstances might MFT perform poorly? How do you think it compares with PMIF (Pimco Monthly Income Fund), in terms of correlation with equities, bear market/recessionary performance, and total return potential? I note that MFT has a greater proportion of holdings which are below investment grade, do you think PMIF would be the safer choice? Which would you prefer for long term, steady income and capital preservation, taking the relative MERs into account as well? Thank you.

Q: I want to help an 86 year old relative - with no investment experience. She has a small RIF (less than 40k) and a TFSA, plus about 250k in unregistered funds -split among two institutions. As the DSCs have run out at the 'expensive' investor company I'm thinking it might make sense to consolidate all the funds at her bank (They are less pushy, have lower generally lower MERs, and it seems like DSCs are far less prevalent). But choosing an appropriate investment for the funds (about 150k) being moved is my quandary.

Preservation of capital is important, but she does want some income. Any suggestion apart from GICs?

Thanks

Q: I was interested in purchasing Athabasca Oil, given Eric Nuttall's recent comments on BNN that while the company's debt load is presently high, it should be "debt free in 3 or 4 months."

5 I, on the other hand, makes no mention of reduction of debt in Athabasca's future, in a recent comment and suggests further it is not a top choice.

Would you be able to elaborate on this please?
(5 I is my go-to for checks and balances, and I hardly do anything on the market now, without your opinion!)

If not Athabasca, what would be a good "growthier" name in the Energy/Oil space that you could recommend, with good conscience, at this time.

Thank you.
