Q: What do you make of the recent announcement on Sedar (July 3rd) regarding Michael Wekerle's acquisition of more shares in Mogo? Can anything be read into this purchase? I suppose he's either expecting the stock to go up for some reason or is positioning himself to take over the company (if that is even a realistic possibility, which I don't know). I would be interested in your comments. Thanks as always.

Q: Can you explain why Fortis shows a negative free cash flow, and how this relates to its dividend? Is it because they have long term contracts in place, so they are able to predict further cash flows? When I compare it to Canadian Utilites, their free cash flow is positive. I feel like I’m missing something with Fortis.

Q: A recent BNN interview appeared to suggest that ecn had or was becoming a facilitator of finance rather than engaging in direct exposure to the finance obligations, collecting fees for arranging the engagement, and the TD notes on this Co indicate that it is becoming an originator and asset manager, which to me seems to indicate a similar strategy. Would this not make ecn more economically sensitive to the sectors it participated in and less affected by the passage of interest rates and how would this affect your appraisal of ECN?

Q: I would expect hydro one to sell off today. Do you think it is a buy at his time and how much of a discount from yesterday's close should one pay given the uncertainty that will exist in the short term? This would be held by a retired person in an income Rrsp account. Thank you.

Q: For the past two years the so-called experts have been saying that rising interest rates will benefit the banks and insurance companies through a more favourable rate spread. Yet, every time the BOC raises rates share prices have gone down. Now the same experts are raising concerns that higher rates will hurt the banks as the rates will negatively affect the credit-stretched consumer. Seems like the experts are playing roulette and betting both black and red at the same time. Your thoughts?
