Q: Greetings 5i,

Can you help me understand the recent news from Aurora regarding Australis and shares or warrents that will be offered to shareholders or Aurora and residency etc.

I have 450 shares of Aurora, I reside in Canada, and I hold shares in both RRSP as well as TFSA. Will I need to declare residency?

What is your recomended course of action or actions?

Cheers and thanks for the advice!

Q: Please let me know your opinion about these companies. What would be your first picks if any. I am looking for 5 years down the road, no rush to sell. I don't understand the value of gold, but given Trump's policies, bad things could happen....
Thank you

Q: I hold a position in Raging River at a 20% loss and would like to know what options are available to shareholders regarding the Baytex deal. As this was a 5i recommendation other members are likely in a similar position. What would you recommend shareholders do. Will there be an opportunity for shareholders to vote against the merger?
thanks for your sage advice as always,
Bob

Q: The materials sector is so diverse, including precious metals, semi-precious metals, basic materials and metals, renewables related metals and minerals, etc. If one were to allocate 15 percent to the entire space, how would you break this up into specific categories as per above? Is 15% generally too much for someone with 15 years+ of investing still to come?

Q: I find that 5i has some interesting perspectives but I continue to be confused about how the service operates in the following respects: 1) You have companies in your portfolios which you do not rate and you even comment on them in the media (e.g. WEF in the Globe recently) but you have no reports on them, 2) I am unsure about portfolio movements as you seem to sell/trim A- names while there are still plenty of B names in the portfolio - what do the ratings really mean? Personally, I would prefer not to have the portfolios at all and just have updated reports on a range of companies

Q: This is a very thinly traded company. Today's drop is out of proportion to previous behaviour. Any reason and what is your opinion of this company.
Thanks

Q: Hello, I am looking to add IHI to the healthcare allocation of my portfolio (10%) but would like to sell one existing holding first. Current healthcare related holdings are JNJ, ABBV, GUD and SIS (although I have SIS filed under Industrials). My question: which of JNJ and ABBV would you advise selling? Thank-you.

Q: Do you see the trade spat with China and USA having a large negative effect on copper and zinc prices, or small hiccup?
Would you favor HBM here for exposure to copper and zinc for the next 4-6 quarters, or spread money in a basket approach in the four names I mentioned? I know TK is small right now and TV has lots of shares.
