Q: Why has PRU declined so much? Do you think it has much farther to fall? Would you start a position in it today? I’m curious about its prospects, especially in relation to the big US banks. Thanks for your advice.

Q: Hello 5i,
BNS vs TD.
Am considering a switch from BNS to TD for a long term hold in my RRIF.
However, have noticed YTD that BNS is down 8.8% while TD is up 3.3%.
What are your thoughts going forward ?
Appreciate your opinion as always.

Q: Hi, thoughts on ADW at current price? Why is it being pushed down and looks technically negative at this point. With DWS recent acquisition and new exposure nationally, I am liking the risk / reward with DWS right now. Would you own both?
Q: I have a question about NFI. NFI continues to lose ground. Any idea of a bottom?
Q: I am a new member. Want to start building an income and equity portfolio. Notice that some holdings are down significantly. are these buying opportunities. Thanks
Q: Any specific reason ADW is taking a beating? Short Sellers?
Q: The stock is losing ground steadily now. Do you know why?
Q: Hi
I refer to Stuart's question concerning PLC.
When Arbour Memorial went private, I made very good money.
PLC was the only opinion available in Canada so in April 2015 I first purchased at $12.90, then at $13,.9 in 2016 and 2017 at $18.98 .
One of my kids is in the funeral business and speaks very highly of what they are doing.
Hope this helps.
All the best

- Vanguard Global Momentum Factor ETF (VMO)
- Vanguard Global Liquidity Factor ETF Units (VLQ)
- Vanguard Global Value Factor ETF (VVL)
- Vanguard Global Minimum Volatility ETF (VVO)
Q: I am interested in purchasing 1 or more of these 4 active Vanguard, ETF's. Can you point me to some good articles and research which would help me determine the %allocation and in which market cycles one product may be most suited. I was thinking of allocating approx. 100K to a combination of these 4. In your opinion can you rank these from 1 to 4 where 1 is the product you think is the overall best.
thanks!
thanks!
Q: Crown has announced a new LP "Capital Power LP". They have partnered (their first) with OOM Energy Group (“OOM”), a private electricity generation company who produce Integrated Energy Platforms they claim are more reliable and efficient, and cost effective than certain areas such as Ontario Hydro(not surprising). This will "provide investors with attractive, utility-like income". It all sounds good but I am worried about the competitiveness of such a partnership. Would you have any thoughts on this development?
Thank You, Stephen

Q: Hi Peter/Ryan
I owned Park Lawn for about a year and did quite well on it before selling. Interested in getting back into it. One reason I got out was bad memories of the Loewen ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raymond_Loewen ) group which I am sure you remember. I assume Park Lawn is more conservative with dept? Obviously Service Corporation is much bigger but in terms of valuation how do they compare?
Much thanks
Stuart

Q: Any insight on the recent rise in the shares of Katipult?
Q: Last week CEO at VFF disposed of 180,000 common shares. Are there any concerns here?
Q: Hello Peter, do you think the bond yield curve could invert within next 6 to 12 months? Which I believe partially explained why the U.S. financial sector has been underperforming recently, due to the worry of flatten yield curve? Thanks.
Q: as a follow up to a previous question and answer: The ETF XTR might be a good substitute for FAP....I'm heading into retirement. what account would be best to add this to. tfsa? or a taxable act? my tfsa holds su, t and cgi. my trading act. is a mixture which i am trying to organize.

Q: Hi Peter/Ryan, I already own FAH.U and FIH.U. FAH is 7% below their latest financing price while FIH.U is steady with no major movement in 2018. Do you think it is good to add both for long term growth?
Q: Seems likely we’re headed for a bit more inflation. Assuming this thesis plays out, which sectors do you think should benefit and which sectors should be avoided? Are there specific companies that could benefit greatly and which companies could be badly hurt?
Q: Which would you prefer at this time? Thanks, Austin
Q: BRE has been on a nice run lately. Any idea what is behind this? Time to take profit or let it ride?
