Q: Mr. Darcy Morris, founder and CEO of Ewing Morris & Co. Investment Partners, has just joined the board of Caldwell Partners. In the director filing, Ewing Morris a Toronto-based investment manager, has acquired over 2 million shares of Caldwell stock through its managed funds. Could this appointment and share ownership lead to a future dividend increase or other shareholder value enhancing events considering the stock is so cheap by many metrics?

Q: I have opened separate trading accounts in trust for my 2 great nephews that I want them to have full access when they are 18. Their mom and pop live in Winnipeg so thought I would start the account one in New Flyer (NFI) and one in Exchange Income (EIF), To simplify things I would like to have each account as a dividend re-investment plan. How do I do this? I'm with TD Waterhouse.
Many Thanks Gord

Q: I had hopes that oil would claw its way back up with the sentiment turning positive over the last few weeks but it seems like this latest push higher has reversed. I'm down big on RRX and PEY - should I hold them until after earnings or get out now before they get dragged lower? What is your opinion on oil over the next year? Thanks!

Q: I have been in contact with my discount brokerage and asked them about what options they offer for the criteria I asked in my previous question with parking my cash. They suggested two money market funds - DYN6000 or DYN5000? My discount brokerage is iTrade. What is your opinion of either of these two money market funds. Both pay 1.00% dividend and fully cashable at any point without losing capital?

Any help here is appreciated.

Regards,

Brendan

Q: Hi Peter/Ryan,

Most of the companies in the BE portfolio have significant US or Intl exposure in terms of operations/revenue. With a portfolio allocation of Canadian (BEReport) 50%, US (ETF) 30% and Intl (ETF) 20%, the actual allocations will be higher for US and Intl since a portion of BEReport is derived from US or Intl. Please let me know your thoughts and any suggestions in terms of portfolio allocations.

Thanks

Q: I read in a reply to a question about Intelgenx technologies you indicated that insiders owned less than 2%, insiders own close to 18%. Company seems to have a lot of irons in the fire namely exclusivity with Eli Lily for their Cialis drug partnership with Endo/Par for subaxone, 4drug app to be filed by 2018 in collaboration with Insud pharma, approval for migraine drug in Europe, health canada approval for manufacturing site, Alzheimer's trial Maxim group initiating with a 12month us$3 target. I am heavily invested in the company and would love to hear unbiased thoughts on the company in light of the recent developments. Thanks and look forward to ur reply

Q: Hi team, I don't have much energy exposure and am looking to add this to the portfolio. I am looking for something that has some growth potential as well as income. I was thinking about VET or WCP, which of these 2 do you prefer right now, or are there others that you would recommend.
Thanks
