Q: I recall reading in Q&A earlier in the year that in determining percentage of sector allocation in our portfolio we use the stocks only total sum and not include the sum of our ETF's. Did I understand that correctly? If so, then to understand our sector allocation of our ETFs do we take the average of the ETFs' specific given sector allocation(i.e. for Financials in VFV,SPY and VIG approx. 14.30%) ? So if we have Financials sector allocations of 15% in Stocks and 14.30% in ETF do we view it as approx. 15% Financials in our total portfolio or is is understood to be the sum of the two(29%)? In addition to our personal investment accounts we have an investment account within our small family business.Should I be adding the sum of this investment account to our personal accounts for tracking sector allocation? Thank you for your assistance with clarifying sector allocation .

Q: Bought TSGI near the top. Would like to hold longer term. But considering selling now, crystallizing loss and, re-purchasing after 30 days. This would allow re-purchase before next earnings mid November ( I believe ) . With the caveat that price movement unpredictable , would there be any known potential catalysts in that 30 day window before next earnings?
Reasonable scenario or trying to be too cute ?
Thanks

Q: In my TFSA I currently have BCE, ENB, FTS, TRP, CNR, SLF, BNS and TD - I'm looking to make a change to get some growth and dividends - I'm looking at getting rid of BCE, ENB and TRP - my biggest losers down 10, 15 and 12.50 per cent respectively. Can you recommend some companies.
Thanks

Q: Regarding Square, I encountered it twice in as many days recently. One was by a guy renting wet suits from his van at the beach. The other was a girl who runs her own small gift shop in Nova Scotia. I can see where it would continue to grow. It's so easy for both the business and the customer to do a transaction.

Q: I received a class action claim form in the mail regarding Amaya (didn't know there was a lawsuit against them). I sold my shares of this company before it became The Stars Group (1/3 for a loss, 2/3 for a small gain). I didn't have a lot of shares and normally don't get involved with these things. What do you usually recommend for people to do in these situations?
Thanks, Paul

Q: greetings - many of the small businesses i know that use square say it is very expensive on a per use basis and if they had a cheaper alternative they would switch. What prevents someone like Visa from entering this space with their own product?Smaller merchants are extremely sensitive to costs so i would expect any 'cheaper' aletnative could erode either their profitability or their client base. Have you seen anything that addresses this issue.
