Q: Hi.

What companies are good investments for the short and long term now that the NAFTA agreement is negotiated? re DOO, MG, NFI. Also, how about PBH for a long term investment? Which Gaming company has better growth potential between TSGI and GC?

Thank you

Rob

Q: Just sold mutual funds and want to transition to low fees ETF's for the portion of my portfolio outside of Canada. It is for my RRSP, 15 years from retirement. I was thinking SPY / XEF and VEE for the equities side. Do you have something better to propose? I would need help for the fixed income portion, 1 or 2 ETFs please. Thanks.

Q: Regarding Bonds,

I just wanted to clarify if I got this concept right. With interest rates increasing and a few more planned increases over the next year..The bond prices decrease as the yield increases..So if one can predict with some certainty the expected increase in rates will stop..is that the only time when bond purchases are beneficial?
Brookfield, and Berkshire have purchased solid assets at bargain prices over time. I own full positions in both of these but for a longterm would you consider these as a replacement to fixed investement allocation. If you agree I would double the positions to 10% each. Thanks for your insight.

Q: Hi team,
TPK's stock has been showing much weakness over the last two weeks.Would this partially be due to tax loss selling as it's tumble does not seem justified and would you see it as a value stock with a solid 4.25% yield? I am thinking of dollar cost averaging but will wait for their Q3 NUMBERS TO COME OUT ,MID-NOVEMBER.
Many thanks,
Jean

Q: I have some questions on Altagas. Would a person be better to buy ACI later this month, because it should have better growth(propane export).
Also, If I were to buy Altagas now , is there not a fair chance of the dividend being cut, because of reduced cash flow(selling Canadian assets). Would you please comment on these aspects. Will ACI have a dividend and how much.
TSGI I was thinking of selling for tax purposes and would like to buy back after 30 days.. Do you know when the next report will be out, I thought perhaps in the middle of Nov.. Thanks in advance Love your service Earl

Q: I currently own in my RRSP's SMU.UN, WIR.U, ACR.UN, DIR.un, IIP.UN,KMP.UN.
I know rising interest rates are not the friend of REIT's That is the current environment, not telling when it will stop. And it is pretty vicious currently.
Do you think it prudent to sell these stocks (all are up nicely) and repurchase them when the increasing interest rate chatter subsides, or would you hold?
In your response please advise 'why' as well.
Thanks
