Q: with the now huge spread between WTI and WCS, who would be advised to buy Canadian oil stocks and why. Are not Canadian oil companies only receiving the WCS price for all Canadian production. How bad is this!!

Q: Based on Moez's comments this morning, what are 3 Canadian and 3 US names you would be keen to add to on this sell-off now and/or if it extends lower?
Q: Any comments on LPS. They seem to be getting new orders for their Harmonizer unit but the stock has acted poorly recently, down over 50 %. Thanks
Q: I currently hold POW and PWF and am considering ditching one ( or both) of these in favour of FSZ. Is this a reasonable move and , if so, which one would you suggest
selling ? Thanks , Joe

Q: I am largely an income investor and hold the above stocks for their dividends. I am concerned that some of them may have high levels of debt and will be negatively impacted by higher interest rates. Can you advise which are the most and least indebted companies, and whether higher interest charges could threaten their dividends? Thanks.
Q: What will be the impact to the shares of Superior Propane due to the weather and the need for farmers to use dryers to dry their grain crops. I have heard there is a shortage due to this useage of propane in Alberta.
Q: Hello 5i,
In the questions Oct 11, ,many of them included a concern of the amount of cash held in the income portfolio. Wasn't there already a suggestion of buying AD and PSI and thus reducing the amount of cash held?

Q: Hi,
I've got about 6k in my kids' RESP and would like to take advantage of the current market conditions to deploy the cash.
The RESP currently holds BAM (@13%), Sentry US Growth Mutual fund (@ 38%), Invesco Global fund (@30%) with cash making up the difference (@ 20%).
I'd like to add a tech position and would like your opinion on whether to buy a hedged ETF or un-hedged - specifically XQQ or QQQ, or other? This account is a buy and hold with a long term (10 yr +) horizon.
Thx.

Q: TSGI received UK approval for Sky with no restrictions. They also settled lawsuit and will pay 6m . What are your thoughts on both developments? Should we 5i followers top up and add to the position or is more downside related to the stock on its way, IE lawsuits, debt and dilution?
Q: Hello 5i Team,
For international emerging market exposure, I hold some funds in the Ishares India Index ETF, which has been brutalized of late, (along with other emerging market equities). I'm slightly above water on this holding at the moment, but the trend line is down. Do you think there is decent chance of recovery in the medium term, or is it time to bail. Thanks.
Brad

Q: I am sitting with a 20% loss - would you sell, hold or buy more. Please elaborate on you recommendation
Q: Not considering any other factors other than the recent pull back and valuation/growth, what two names would you add to or start a position in today? Thanks.
Q: It seems like FLOT, MFT have not seen the dramatic price drop as XBB and CBO even though XBB and CBO have the lower yield. Could you comment as to why? For new money in the present market what would you suggest? Thanks for your service.
Q: In your opinion, what is the risk that KPT will cut its dividend in the near future?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Q: With the present drop on the market, do you see any Value Stock that you consider ''screaming buy'' ?
- Global X S&P 500 Index Corporate Class ETF (HXS)
- Vanguard U.S. Dividend Appreciation Index ETF (VGG)
Q: Does Horizons or similar company have a tax deferred ETF that would be similar to VGG. I understand HXS does for US exposure, though I am interested in one that focuses on dividends which are only taxed as capital gains once the stock is sold. Thank you for your service.
Q: Hello,
My reading of Morningstar.ca shows dividends have been the same at $1.20 since 2012, which would at least suggest consistency.
Today's price has fallen below the 2016 lows. What are the chances of a cut in dividend?

Q: Do you see any bargains in mid-large cap US company. This is for my mother who's 60 and will need to start using her money in 10 years. No tech names (already 20%), maybe more in finance, healthcare, consumers disc. or industrials.
I was thinking of Visa/ MasterCard as an example.
She sold 20% of her portfolio this summer to have cash on hands for a pullback, would you start using it ?

Q: With the price of WCS oil at record lows , if the producers cut back production will these pipeline companies be hurt. Besides rising interest rates are there any other headwinds with these two companies?
Q: Saw your list of "add now stocks" but most are tech tsig, sq, etc that pay no div etc...what non techs would you add along the lines of your balanced equity portfolio. I own SIS so was going to add a bit to it, what other materials, industrials or non-cycl also look attractive on the drop.
