Q: The price of Acadian has languished over the last thee months. Other than sector wide problems has there been other events that would have applied pressure on the market price? Does Brookfield hold a significant position and has this changed in, say, the last three years? Thanks, as always for all you do.

Q: Being retired we look to invest in long term stable companies with a reliable growing dividend. We own a few hundred shares of CU. The share price is lower than it has been for a very long time! We are wondering if you think the low share price offers a good opportunity to purchase some more shares or are there looming issues that could be problematic in the future. CU is part of our utility sector holdings.
Thank you.

Q: hi there,
Can't seem to bring this stock up from the database. I am looking for a bit of income in the US and have been looking at a few of the Pimco funds. The high yield is a bit scary but its 5 year track record seems impressive. Thoughts?

Q: Can you comment on this company - Q2 earnings were .22 per share versus .63 in Q1.Lots can happen to impact earnings but i can find nothing on my stock services to explain the drop in earnings. Q: Best Cdn oil company to own if oil increases over $100?
Q: Rafferty Capitals, Richard Bove said banks do not do better in a higher fed rate environment. Why are most saying they do ?
- AltaGas Ltd. (ALA)
- NFI Group Inc. (NFI)
- Transcontinental Inc. Class A Subordinate Voting Shares (TCL.A)
Q: Considering tax loss selling NFI and TCL (and possibly ALA) then waiting 30+ days to rebuy. Using TurboTax, the loss saves me 15%. Does your crystal ball foresee any quick rebound potential for these 3 stocks that would cause me to rethink this strategy? Thanks...Steve
Q: Hi. What's your take on Artis. Great yield at 9% due largely to the drop in the share price.. Is it buyable for growth and income at this level? Any concerns?
Many thanks

Q: I need to know how much the 5 big Canadian Bank stocks have increased their dividends over the past 18 years; by % increase, not actual dollar amount. Someone told me 7% a year but that sounds too high. Any idea where I can find this information? Thanks.
Q: Earlier you said RHT reports earnings today, I cannot find their earnings date anywhere nor any releases indicating it will be today, can you confirm that it is today?
Q: Your opinion. Buy, hold, or sell
Q: Good Day,
AS BNS continues to fall I see that the forward P/E based upon the consensus shown on the RBC Direct site is 9.5. Seems like good value considering the 4.7% yield. Your thoughts? Also wondering if you can determine what the P/E was at the lowest point during the 2008 financial crisis.
Thanks

Q: I have been following JKHY for quite a while now, has always been in the 'little too expensive' category. Company appears to be very profitable, with strong free cash flow, and they are growing their dividend. Can I get an update on your view of this company, and what a reasonable entry point may be?
