Q: Are you expecting a good Christmas for TOY ? Any insight as to new toys. I saw some weeks ago that some of their toys were voted by young participants as good ones.
Lack of Toys R Us in USA is a negative but Mom & Dad will find other avenues to purchase them. Deal with BABA must be a positive. I think it is looking good. Your thoughts please. I am considering increasing my holdings in TOY. RAK

Q: On Oct 15 the 5i team declares that its time to sell it full position in Trevali out of one of the virtual model portfolios, when it is selling in the low .70 cent level. In his most recent appearance on BNN Market Call about a month(?) ago, Peter suggested against selling in the low .70 cent level because it is at too low a price and this would be an inopportune time to sell - implying there is better value to be had for a patient investor. Then on Oct 5, the 5i team says Trevali is still worth holding on to, but on a "short leash". Talk about mixed messages!

As a 5i subscriber, I would prefer if your team would ramp up your collective wisdom and signal sell well before a security hits a major trough. You have done similar patterns re securities such as Air Boss, ZCL and the infamous Concordia Health Care fiasco, (now recently revived by virtue of a 1 for 300 reverse split!). I am guessing that since your model portfolios do not involve any of your own real money, you tend not to pull the trigger on sell signals. But your subscribers are self-managing their own real money. We need your timely recommendations for sells - not wait for a "throw in the towel" attitude to prevail among the team before announcing selling a full position. For most of us, the sell decision is the most difficult, and courageous timely clear sell signal recommendations especially for model portfolio positions holdings would be very much appreciated going forward! Would 5i consider this request and respond? Thank you. Comments?...

Q: LIF has yet to send out a circular for shareholders to consider and vote on changing the Articles of Incorporation. Today in the Globe and Mail, David Taylor of Taylor Asset Mgmt has recommended LIF as a turnaround pick given the significant premium it receives for hits higher-grade ore favoured by China's steel mills. He also suggests Rio Tinto PLC may sell it's 59% stake in IOC or take it public which could be a possible catalyst for LIF and that LIF could be a takeover candidate by someone interested in IOC. Would purchasing the 59% stake in IOC if it became available be the transaction LIF board has been hinting at for the reason to change it's articles of incorp as it seems like more of the same income and do you think LIF could be a takeover candidate?
Thank you.

Q: Hej
Whenever I look up a stock, I love to study the one year chart
Would it be too labor intensive to show the one year chart on any stock?
A very small chart would be fabulous!!!
Think about it
Thanks

Q: I’m sure that you’re as upset as the members about RHT. I’ve made money with your service and am very happy overall especially because in this case I stuck with your weighting recommendation.

This is a question regarding why you put RHT in the balanced portfolio? Hindsight of course is 20/20 but as a growth play, it probably should have been in the growth portfolio. If it were, many the members might be a little harder on themselves rather than you folks.

Q: I know you have reservations about the company's history and certain individuals, but momentum has been good recently. On Oct. 17 at midday, about 120,000 shares ($1 million) traded in a few minutes, which I assume was an institutional order. Total volume for the day was near 600,000 shares, which has only occurred a few other times earlier this year, when the share price was much lower. Are you aware of any increasing institutional interest in VMD?

Q: Are these etf's better to be held in registered accounts for tax purposes. Since there will be ROC when sold, how difficult is it to calculate or are tax forms supplied with that info upon sale. I'd like yo add it to my non registered account to collect the nice dividends but worried about how to handle after a sale. Thanks
