Q: I was reading a question from Chris. Just wondering if CSU is in the AI market. Seems that I read something to that. But can't find the article to back me up.

Q: Regarding sector weightings, I have developed a portfolio strategy based on your income and balanced portfolios augmented by other holdings. I have based the overall sector weightings from your recommendations adjusted for my own preferences. It would actually be helpful if you published monthly your weightings (with the obvious warning that investors' preferences my differ). I began moving away from financials and into REITS and Utilities early this year because of my belief in rates are not going much higher. I see you have done this too and it is comforting to know you may have he same idea. We do not have to agree, I just need all the information available to make investment decisions.
Q: In July 2018 you had a b+ rating, hoping for growth in AUM, and possible acquisitions, can you provide current scorecard on these points please? Opinion on sale of Mutual Fund business to Canoe and how that will effect previous points? Your report was accurate forecasting slow and steady and enjoy the dividend, suppose I'm bored and looking for a reason to not bail and look for more capital appreciation when markets are flying.

Q: Hello Peter and Ryan,
We picked up a few shares of BNS on the drop yesterday. After searching for value stocks with a decent dividend we could not find a Utility, Telcom, or Financial stock that was not over-priced with the recent rise. ZUT or VPU also appear to be slightly over-priced for the moment.
If we are looking for value, dividend, and a little down-turn protection which stock is preferred; BCE or CM? Do you have another value stock in any sector that would be preferable to BCE or CM?
Thank you
Debbie and Jerry

Q: Any thoughts on Winpak’s earnings today? I have held this stock for almost 10 years and have done very well but am wondering if lack of growth is becoming an issue here?
Q: Good morning,
Regarding BNS earnings, can you share your thoughts? It has lagged and the drop yesterday wasnt massive but certainly contrasted BMO. What caused the earnings decline? Finally, would you be buying now or moving onto one of the banks with better momentum and performance?

Q: There appears to be a real hype for 5G preparedness. According to a chart Bloomberg presented, Nokia seems to be 2nd in line (after Huawei) to be equipped and ready to fill the demand. Would you concur? And would you consider the stock investable?
Thanks, Team!

Q: Can you explain to me this preferred share, and why this one is down so much.
How can they act so totally different than the common shares?what are the chances they are going to be called.will that be for $25 if this happens?
When and how are they gonna be resrt?
Is this a preferred share you like,or any others?
The company and dividend look very enticing

Q: Your thoughts on this reit with a high yield.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: Thank you for your answer to my first question. The GC 5yr rate in March 2018 was 2% and the pref. was set at 4.38%. Would you expect the 2023 reset rate to be similarly higher, since the minimum rate is "not less than 80% of 5yr GC yield", which suggests a very low minimum rate assuming rates are are still around 2 to 2.5% - the current GC rate is 2.25%?
Q: Hi,
What do you think of Kraft Heinz? It’s drifting down toward a 5% yield. Warren Buffet is still a believer....are you ?
Thanks

Q: Can you please comment on recent earnings release. Seems to have been a rough quarter. thanks
Q: In the bank section, BNS has been a favourite of yours along with TD. Over the past couple of years, TD has been a star while BNS languishes. Their latest earnings this morning disappointed. Are you still keen on BNS? Do you still recommend it? If so, on what basis? I know you say banks tend to revert to the mean performance over time but BNS appears to be proving that wrong.

Q: With regards to cobalt prices, its difficult to get a handle on the scarcity/abundance of the metal. It was supposed to be scarce 2-3 years ago, now it seems every region has some and the prices have drifted off. Co $40-$14 yoy.
So is it scarce like quality gold mines, or abundant like cannibis grow ops (all of us can grow four plants)?
Conversely, lithium prices have gone up historically.
First, since its hard to get accurate info, have I got the price movement right? Then, is it better to invest in lithium companies or cobalt companies going forward with a view of increased electric car sales in the future?
May I have your insight on the space?

Q: I read that you recommend GC as a replacement for CLS? I already own TSGI and wonder if I should buy GC or another company. I own KXS, OTEX ,SYZ already.
