Q: i own both, if team owns a piece of slack and with slack going public in next 3 weeks and in all probability will open much higher, why do you seem to prefer ayx over team.dave
Q: Two sectors I generally avoid like the plague are the auto sector and the airline sector. The former because it is cyclical and the latter because pretty much every one of them has gone broke at some time in their history... But a story came to my attention the other day...Vancouver took delivery of two Nova Buses. On having a little look at the company I found that Toronto has 55 of them and they have a growing presence in North America. As they have the power of Volvo behind them I can see some competition for NFI here. Cities going green would far rather not have the maintenance and eyesore of overhead power lines. I know Nova Bus is a small section of Volvo but when I looked at the parent company I saw a juicy 7.5% yield. Looking at the price history I see a range of $11 to $20 in the past three years slowly trending down since it's $20 high, What does 5I think of Volvo both from a growth point of view and relative to it's peers in the auto industry ? It is late in the auto cycle so I am hesitant here in spite of the juicy dividend.....Thanks for your great service....
Q: Hi Peter/Ryan
Last couple weeks read good information on Q&A section on moving money to US account using DLR/DLR.U. Out of curiosity what happens if I call TD rep and ask him to convert my existing 100 Canadian NTR shares to US NTR shares in RRSP account? I am assuming I will still have 100 NTR shares under US trading account with NYSE listed price at the time of transaction. This way I can keep my US dividends without any transaction cost. If this is the case i should be able to convert any stock which trades in both exchanges. Hope this is not a dumb question. Your expert advice please.
Thanks

Q: Is there an ETF that focusses on, or includes animal health stocks? What would animal health stock do you think has the best potential? Zoetis?
Q: Hi 5i team
I currently have AAPL, CSU, GOOG, SHOP and KXS in my technology sector holdings. I'm thinking of adding one more, and am considering either TEAM or AYX. Given the tech stocks I already own, which of TEAM or AYX would you consider the best one to add?

Q: Hi all,
I am a buy and hold dividend investor looking for income and some growth with a 5+ year horizon. I am considering opening first positions in the above mentioned Brookfield family. I am interested in your opinion on the relative merits of these investments (how would you rank them). Also how / where should they be held in relative order to minimize taxes - Open / RRSP / TFSA - CAN / USD account?
Thank-you
Ken

Q: It seems interest-rate sensitive stocks might be a good place to be right now and my sense is REITS and the banks have been beaten up the most.
Not sure I'm ready to jump back into banks, but would consider it if you're bullish.
Would you give me your best ideas for REITs and possibly Dividend payers.
And do you think my theory is correct?

Q: Can I get your opinion on DR? Seems to be on the downslope recently. Is this a good time to step in?
Thanks

Q: Hi...In your opinion where is the best region in the world to invest right now with a 5 year outlook? Could you recommend a couple of ETF’s? Thanks
Q: I see according to one source that the payout ratio for this stock is 187% (trailing) and 125% (forward) and using cash flow it is astronomic. Do these numbers jive with your sources, and do you think a dividend cut is likely. Also, please give me your current opinion of the company (I know the sector is out of favor). Buy, sell or hold at the moment, in your opinion. Thanks, Don
Q: It seems that the Liberals will ban Or at least limit operations in Canada. If so,how might this impact TELUS? Thank you.
Q: Hi,
Is there a strategy to transfer stocks with nice capital gains (SHOP approx 250%) from my Margin act to TFSA. My understanding is that such a transfer is considered a deemed disposition. Thanks.

Q: I have a question about FM
Hi team
the first quantum has been sliding rapidly like TECK
is there a reason for it ?
should I wait to establish a small position ?
would you prefer TECK over FM ?
thanks
Michael

Q: You seemed happy with ENB's last quarter. I notice it is one of the more shorted stocks. (Recent G&M article).Do you have thoughts on what the short argument would be?
Q: GOODFOOD LAUNCHES YUMM.CA, A VALUE MEAL KIT OPTION TARGETING COST-CONSCIOUS CANADIANS
Surprised that the stock price of FOOD has been generally declining over the last 6 weeks since announcing strong quarterly earnings. But it has perked up in the last couple of days following the introduction of the lowest price ready-to-cook option in Canada. As always, I would appreciate your analysis of this new development.
