Q: Hi guys, I am looking for small and mid-cap companies with a great balance sheet and high likelihood of sustaining their dividends. Would Evertz and Corby fit the bill? Also, any others that you like for that criteria? Thanks Rob

Q: Do you think we've seen the bottom now that the USA is close to a stimulus deal (as of writing today). I was wondering whether that stimulus announcement will be the last bit of good news for awhile. I'm trying to decide whether to wait for further lows which seems to be what everyone was calling for or whether to go in with a part position now. Your thoughts today on the stimulus deal and what may be to come would be appreciated. Thank you.

Q: My average price on COV is $4.97, so ... I'm down 78% as of this morning. I was thinking of dumping it, finally, and topping up my position in GUD with the proceeds -- unless you feel there is some evidence that this stock will come back to life. It never was a big holding -- but it seems to me the cash would be better used elsewhere. I'd like to stay in a healthcare growth position. GUD is presently 2.5% of portfolio.

Q: Many high quality bond ETFs are trading at substantial discounts to their NAV. How can this be as the ETF should be representing the value of the underlying bonds? Are bonds being sold so fast that the market makers just can not keep-up with the pace? If XCB and XRB return to their NAV value this could be a buying opportunity? Thanks Ron

Q: I have always believed in the long term value of lumber, hence my interest in this name that i have been in and out in past. I guess the question the market is now reflecting on is about the company's financial capacity to sustain debt payment, or stay afloat.
They are inherently designed to go through different cycles, and reduce operations, but would you think they can survive worst case scenario based on their debt ratios, and would you see value here even if dividend is probably going to be cut?

Q: My understanding is that People is a third party administrator.
Does this mean they would be unusually busy with the EI claims and dealing with Cocid -19 etc is actually a good revenue stream that would help their business?

It has been hit hard like all other stocks. But did well in the past economic crisis in 08/09. Is there any other issues that would impact their business ? It looks like it could be a good time to get in now ?

Q: A few questions have been asked about covered call products and I know that the bounce back will not be as high as a Plain Vanilla ETF. The question remains how much are you actually losing out on? Would the fund just not repurchase right away when called out so when things normalize, you may be out 5 to 10 percent as a guess? I am just hoping that the loss is not that bad

Q: In some of your recent replies you are encouraging investors to harvest tax losses in this market. Why??

I have no capital gains to offset this year, nor do I have gains from the last 3 years that I can carry losses back to offset. I have been mostly a buy and hold investor.

Why should I sell some of the good quality companies that you hold in your BE portfolio or have strongly recommended in the past just to generate a loss? E.g. I am now down on all of these despite holding some of them since 2011: ENB, BNS, TD, SLF, FTS, BCE, T, CCL.B, DOL, PPL

Q: Good morning. Again, thanks for keeping calm and reassuring. My question relates to Canadian banks. I have positions in all five of the big banks and all are down. I’m thinking this might be a good time to sell some bank positions and increase my holdings in others. Does this make sense and how best to execute?
