Q: Thanks for all the help with my investing. I have valued your info on companies as the only one I truly believe. I would like your thoughts on this part of our RIF's. I rely on the dividends for 3/4 of my yearly cash flow and the principle for the rest. I do not want to be out of the market so I keep 2 years of cash in our RIF's but would like to put 3 years and put 2 years of that into PSA-T getting the interest of 2 plus %. This would take the sting out of getting nothing for the cash. My question is does this make good sense. Thanks Gary

Q: I just wanted to respond to the comment on the spotted lantern fly and potential issues for ADW. Spotted Lantern Fly are easily controlled by many pesticides. Growers should not worry about the sensationalism that many people/media like to invoke with articles trying to create panic in the wine industry. These flies congregate almost exclusively on grape and Ailanthus (tree-of-heaven). They may require an increase in pesticide usage for the next few years in areas they invade. A year or two after they are introduced the populations have declined, the reasons for this are unknown but scientists believe it is the work of a fungus. Penn State Fruit Research Extension Center can provide very interesting research as they work extensively with these insects.

Q: Hello. I have a large portion of my fixed asset side invested in Pref Shares of solid Canadian companies and this asset class has been suffering. I just received a solicitation from BPRF, which aims to invest in high quality US Prefs and claims the US returns are much better than Canada. The fund looks tiny and expensive and the yield is well below the 5% promise. Neverthelesss, should I be looking to move from Canadian prefs into US holdings and if so, how best to achieve that? Thanks

Q: Hi, Does the market price movement following the announcement of secondary issues, influence the determination of offering price, or companies usually base it on the closing price at the time of the NR ? LSPD closed at $47.75 before the issue was announced and has dropped to $40 in 2 days. The issue is still open at many brokerages. Any comments/insight, please. Thanks
