Q: Thanks for all your help.

It is tax season, and trusts are giving me issues with their reporting being complex and late, generally. Being late, I’ve have to update my taxes that were already done by my accountant.

I am trying to figure out where best to put trusts, like BEP.UN, for tax and reporting purposes. Are they best in a Corporate account, personal, RRSP, or TFSA?

Thanks again,

Fed

Q: Hello Peter and gang
What can you say about IHI, it seems to be pretty good over a 10 year period. Is there any other etf in the same field. Is there a Canadian version?
What are you expecting the quarterly report to be for TFII. Is this a good long term hold.
Is it time to jump into PHO. Held it before and did well. Is this a good time to jump back in.

thank you
Ken and Cindy

Q: Referring to the US company Cybr (and not the Canadian Eft), do you think it remains a buy? It has had a nice little run up but it seems anything good has run up a lot since December. The company seems to have stellar earnings per share growth but I don't know how that translates into the stock price. Is it overbought or is there more gain to be had in your view? Thank you.

Q: Hi There,
I am currently looking at adding one US stock to my RRSP account. I currently have JPM, VTI and IWO in the account. Of the above listed stocks or any others you feel would be a better fit, which would you recommend? Timeframe is 10 plus years.
Thank You,

Q: Dear 5i
Could you tell me the indicated GROSS dividend yield and their corresponding MER for the following ETF`s (and your source ) for the following ETF`s ; CLF , CBO , XBB , ZAG , XHY , and HYGH .
Also i`ve noticed on one sight that the management fee for CLF was noticeably higher then the expense ratio . My understanding is that the MER is inclusive of other fee`s so should always be higher then the management fee . How would you explain this ?
Thanks
Bill C.

Q: Hi guys, thanks for the excellent service and continued improvements. I find the new Portfolio Analytics section very helpful. Long winded question here so please deduct as many credits as you see fit.

I am overweight in tech, at 40% overall. I have 40% tech in both my RRSP and TFSA.

The biggest names I have are AAPL 9%, TEAM 6%, and NVDA 6%. All of those are held in the US side of my RRSP.

I have a mix of 15 stocks in my TFSA, roughly equal weighting. The tech holdings in there are PHO, KXS, CSU, SYZ, SHOP. Each comprises about 6% of the TFSA but just over 1% of overall holdings.

I am 7-8% underweight in:
consumer defensive,
communication services,
industrials,
utilities.

I feel I should trim back or sell at least one of AAPL, TEAM or NVDA but hard to given they have all been growing and have potential to grow further. Are there any obvious choices to cut or pull back here? Can you please suggest at least one name from each of the following sectors:
consumer defensive,
communication services,
industrials,
utilities.

thanks !
Mark

Q: One of my largest holdings in my RRSP is Blackstone L.P. Today they announced they are converting to a Corporate structure as at 7.1.19. It appears the market likes it. What effect will this have on the dividends (ie: yield & taxes), the SP now and going forward in your estimation? Should I buy more (to a reasonable % of course), sell or hold?
