Q: We have about $150k in a Family RESP invested in the Fidelity Clearpath 2025 Portfolio Series B ISC target date fund. On the Fidelity fact sheet it says "Series B has the highest combined management and administration fees among the series in the Program". We were put into the fund by our previous financial advisor. Funny how that worked. The current MER is 2.17%. Could you recommend two or three alternative ETF's or funds with more reasonable MER's or even possibly a handful of suitable stocks? The funds won't be needed for another five years. Thanks.

Q: Example. If I purchased a $1000.00 worth of shares in stock XYZ, the shares are now worth $100.00 and I'm going to sell them. Am I allowed to contribute $900.00 back into my TFSA to make up for the loss?

Q: Hi there,

I currently own PXT and was looking at YGR. It looks like it has sold off over the last year and may be coming back. Would you endorse a half/full position in this name today? If one owned a full position in PXT already, how would you play YGR (assuming you'd be okay endorsing it as a buy today).

Thanks!

Q: Good morning,
Wondering if you could please comment as to Steve Eisman's thesis on Canadian banks ( shorting specifically CM, RY and LB) and the deleterious effects of a shift to positive loan loss provisions for the stage 1 loan book( those loans that are current), where such a shift would, in his words, "crush" earnings( growth?).

Thank you for your insights,
