Q: Can you tell me the approximate P/E of ZEM? The fact sheet dated Dec 31/23 gives a P/E of 20.66 for ZEM. But can that be right, when for the same date VEE lists a P/E of 7.8x and XEC 12.39x?
Thanks!

Q: Recent news reports talk about “The Granolas”. European companies powering markets like The Magnificent Seven are doing. Any comments and are there ETF’S for them? Term coined by Goldman-Sachs, I believe.

Q: I am holding WEF for years in registered accounts. Looks like it cut the dividend but this was not easy to find a report on. It reports tomorrow after close.
It looks grim for this company going forward. What do you think about getting out before earnings report? Of course no tax loss to lessen the blow. Any thoughts whether this might ever be bought out?
Thanks so much for this opportunity to pose questions!

Q: Could you shed some light on the class action lawsuit against PAYS that appears to have been settled recently. I have just received a notice from my broker advising investors to check to see if they had purchased shares within the indicated timeframe. Is it even worth submitting a claim? Thanks!

Q: Hi, Just to clarify, do you adjust the "purchase/start price" of a stock added during any month while updating the Portfolios. So, the Monthly, YTD and Since inception returns, are based on the Start price or the actual ACB for each such stock, in a portfolio ? ACB of a holding will change with no of shares added and closing price on that day, in order to determine an accurate return. Not sure, if it was only the month of January, as IFC and LMN, which were added during the month, had the same Start price as before. Thank You

Q: Interested in these Canadian small caps. Can you provide quick thoughts on the prospects of these companies knowing the risks of small caps.
Do you know management at all and how would you rate each?
What is in your mind the main reason to invest in each company and the biggest worry for each? (debt, dilution etc)

Q: My question is on First Trust Rising dividend Achievers ETF, RDVY and RDVI. Wondering if you know much about them, or if you had other suggestions for a US ETF that holds a group of strong companies that are growing their dividends. Thanks.

Q: We have well-diversified Canadian portfolio (~30 holdings) focused slightly toward growth. Across our various accounts we are overweight in the Financial Services sector. We are considering reducing our holdings in the traditional banks, which are currently roughly equal amounts of TD, BNS, BMO and RY.

Putting aside potential taxation issues, given the choice between reducing all the banks by roughly the same amount or reducing the number of banks to 2 or 3, which would you prefer and why? If it's the latter, which banks would you keep and in what order?

Thanks,

Peter.
