Q: I know that you like Chartwell, but I am not certain why your strong endorsement.. Looking at the share price performance the shares currently sell at the same price as 3 years ago; so other than the dividend there has been no growth over the past 3 years. Not looking for a lot but some small token growth would be nice to instill some confidence in the company's management team. I own the shares, have done so for some time, but am now thinking that there are better income opportunities out there. Can you provide me with some rationale for not parting with my shares in Chartwell?

Q: Hello,
I just read your report on this company and have a few questions:
- Revenue from 2014 to 2016 went down substantially (from $500M to $160M), should we expect the same correlation to oil price going forward in case of an oil downturn or was there more to it at that time ?
- Are their customers mostly low cost producers ?
- Would you consider EDR as a long term competitive advantage ?
- You mentioned long term contracts in your report. Would you know if they are for a considerable portion of their revenue and how long and guaranteed are they ?
- Is the insider ownership related to the founders? Are they managing the business?
- Any idea why the stock did not recover with the oil price ?
I have had bad experience with oil servicing cmies in the past. I am tempted to take a position but worry about the downside if oil price is going lower. I will do more research but I always appreciate your comments ! Would a 4% position be too high ? Thank you

Q: Good morning,
I need to increase the Health Care and a Tech sectors of my portfolio. Given that I wish to invest in Cdn$$$, my research for one ETF in each sector leads me to a choice among the ETFs listed above and 5i may have others that may be a better choice.
Question. What would be 5i's best of class ideas for a Health Care and Tech ETF to add to my portfolio and is there a preferred location (TFSA/RRSP/Non Reg acct) for these ETFs?
Thank you and I will await your valued suggestions/recommendations.

Q: When you reccommend an ETF portfolio as part of PA, is it dynamic or static? Will the allocations be the a year from now as they are today?

If they do change will they change automatically, eg with market movements, my age etc?

Thanks

Sheldon

Q: I have subscriptions to both 5i Research and to the ETF & Mutual Fund Newsletter. Is there any way that these subscriptions can be linked, or must they be kept separate?

In the ETF Model Portfolios you recommend VSP and XQQ. Both ETFs are "Canadian Hedged". Are there non-hedged versions of these ETFs available? Why do you prefer the Canadian Hedged versions at this time?

Q: Hi 5I,
I have held Boardwalk for a long time (perhaps to long) and watched the stock pickup momentum in the summer of 2018 only to sell off and not recover.
Is this worth holding? Or move on to another income name that you could recommend. My thesis to own Boardwalk was that is was best of breed and carried a conservative payout with a fair REIT growth profile until the energy slide occur. I thought perhaps Boardwalk stock would start to return to a cover (or at least return some of the slide), but the energy climate seems to continue to impact the investor sentiment.

The recommendation does not have to be a REIT, and I have been looking at topping up CSH & NWC (not sure if this is too small cap to compare) to a 5i weighting %.

If selling BEI is the best option should I wait past May 15-19 earning release? Might get a bit more of clarity or hope of improvement (could be worse as well).

Q: WEF has been in losing ground for a year, and seems to have been range-bound for the four years previous. Do you think that yet more bad news on duties is already priced-in, or could things get quite a bit worse from here? Interestingly, Tier 2 data shows a disproportion of bids (vs asks) close-by the trading price; I would have thought this implied buyer confidence in future prospects - yet the price is not being supported.
