Q: I have owned this Canadian Small/Midcap in my RRSP since 1995, but in the last few years it was switched to this TML3892. It is way down and I am in the process of replacing my high MER mutual funds with efficient ETF's. What is your opinion of hanging on until it recovers $2 to $3 dollars versus selling it, and what would you recommend instead?

Q: What do you think about the competitors of lightspeed ? Do you believe lightspeed has a better platform and is there a "moat" around their products ?

I see a lot of restaurants particularly the ones in the MTY group (baton rouge) using Maitre'D solutions, which is a direct competitor of lightspeed.

Thanks

Q: I bought Square in October last year after the CFO left. I’m down on the stock but still like it. Because the rest of my portfolio has risen this is now slightly <1% position. I want to add to the position up to 2% but don’t want to throw good money after bad. How do you like square over the next 5 years?

Q: Good Afternoon,
Unfortunately I'm stuck holding flow capital which previously was LOGIQ and prior to that was Aston Hill. I understand they have sold the asset management component back in the spring to Ninepoint Partners( previously Sprott)?. Looks like Flow Capital is changing direction and I received notice of a dutch auction as they want to buy back some shares. Any future in this company? I'm way down on this from years ago dating back to the Aston Hill days. Is this worth holding on to?
thanks

Q: Hi Folks,
I'm thinking of slowly getting back into the energy sector. I like the mid cap space - companies with good balance sheets, existing production, growth potential. I'm considering ERF, PXT, WCP, KEL and PSK. How would you rank this group. Any others that you would recommend?
Thanks as usual,
Dennis

Q: Hi 5i,
Comments on the company / news today? I see some insider buying at 25c from the chairman (300,000 shares).
New synopsis: a follow-on order for six additional SmartGATE(TM) systems by a multi-family and commercial real estate investment company, totaling C$537,168. This order brings to 12, the number of its 439 multi-family buildings that the customer has outfitted with Legend's energy-management solution.

Do you see this as a viable company with potential?

Thank you!

Q: Hi there,

Which of these stocks would you be adding to or starting a position in and why? All have pulled back to some extent so my question is which have the most upside assuming I can handle volatility? I am okay with a response suggesting to buy all 5 if you can please explain why each has come down too much and has room to go up. Deduct as you see fit and thanks!

Q: I am thinking about harvesting a capital loss on VET. The stock goes ex-dividend on September 27th. I would probably repurchase 31 days after selling as it is my only energy exposure. Probably have to give up a dividend payment as it pays monthly. Not sure how long the stock bump will last even though there does not seem to be a conclusion to the Saudi war on Yemen. I suppose if I guess wrong and energy stocks stay strong I could buy Whitecap after I sell VET even though I prefer VET as a long term hold. May I have your thoughts?
Thanks,
Jim

Q: Hello, in a recent question by "sunday" regarding your top 5 o&g picks you listed VET, SU, HES, PXT, ARX. I notice the exclusion of WCP which you have been a proponent of for quite some time and have listed HES and ARX which have been much less mentioned by your team as top o&g picks. Has something changed with WCP that caused you to not consider it a top pick anymore? I personally think WCP has become even more attractive with mgmt showing its cautiousness and protecting of the downside risk.
