Q: I am re-balancing our portfolio and find I am sitting on 30K cash which balances out my cash/fixed income portion of my portfolio. My question is what 3 or 4 fixed income or bond ETFs would you suggest I entertain dropping my cash into ?

Thanks,
John

Q: I currently own TDB900 and 902. Have now read that TD will be using ETFs to purchase their funds like the ones mentioned. I have held these funds for a long time . So I am wondering if it still ok to hold onto TDB900 and 902 since I am uncertain how this will affect those holdings. Is it time to switch the funds for similar ETFs. Any clarification is appreciated. Thanks Paul.

Q: Hello 5i team,
I have read the first wave of questions yesterday. (1) I understand the probability of another bid is higher than zero: this probability is similar to what other deal over the last 2 years? From which entities could it come from? Private equity firm?
(2) Approximately when will the information about the tax consequences will become available (circular)?
(3) Wouldn’t be logical for the new company to trade on more than one exchange (London) since it is a merger of large entities active worldwide? Would it be announced in the circular?
(4)Do you expect the current large discount to persist until the Uk authorities release their decision?
(5) I am right to interpret market reaction this way: Flutter price says the deal is good and it is going to happen; TSGI price says the deal looks good, but not so sure it is going to happen?
(6) in this current context: at what discount % would recommend to sell or sell half of now ?
Thank you for your collaboration, Eric

Q: Private question ???
HI,
I have some MAXR shares, of course at quite a loss. I do not know if you can answer this, but when MAXR changed for US domestication, I think this is a fiscal loss for me (According to MAXR`s 2018 documents) . However, I do not see any relevant change in my broker account, except a stock exchange with identical name, my base cost staying the save. I wrote MAXR to know the official date of the move-probably, Jan 1st 2019- but did not get any answer. There was no press release for fiscal purposes, and nothing on the Web site besides the Jan 2nd « US Domestication completion ». I would probably keep my shares for the moment if I can claim a loss as of Jan1st. Otherwise I would sell my position. Thanks.

Q: Good Morning: Recognizing that this company is not in your normal area of operation, I would still appreciate your opinion in terms of the current investability and outlook for it. An analyst on BNN suggested that it really only has Nokia as a publicly traded competitor in its 5G space and is therefore of interest. As best as I can determine its debt is not out of line and it's share price is reasonable value, although revenue seems to be declining recently. Your comments are appreciated. Don

Q: What is going on with LSPD. It seems to be dropping and CFRA has a Strong Sell on it. Also what do you think about SQ and SHOP for an investment in a TFSA?

Q: Thank you for your previous response to my question regarding these 2 stocks. I just want to make sure I completely understand your advice: 1) HLTH - My understanding is that my only hope to extracting any value out of this is to wait and see if the stock reappears on the OTC. How long would you suggest is a reasonable amount of time to wait to see if this is going to happen before giving up on the stock having any tradeable value (in my mind $.10 on the $1 is better than nothing)? If it goes OTC will it reappear on my Waterhouse account notifying me of the relisting or is there a place I can periodically search to see if it reappears on the OTC? In the event that I wait a "reasonable" amount of time and it is still not trading on the OTC I can see the merit of gifting the shares to Waterhouse to get the tax write off in the cash account ...... however it seems I would be best to just leave it in the registered accounts as there is no value in gifting them. correct? 2) AGN - you suggested that I tender the AGN shares for ABBV shares and cash........ I assume you meant don't sell the AGN shares on the open market (because of the current discount) and wait until the deal is done and this tendering of shares to the offer will happen automatically....... or do I need to provide instructions to the broker?

Thank you

Scott
