Q: Hi there, can you tell me exactly how much of a discount George Weston is trading at relative to market and book value? I'm interested to know your thoughts on whether the discount can be broken down into any distinct components, and what the prospects are for future break up of the company so that investors can hold the investments in Loblaws, Choice REIT, etc. directly. Thank you.

Q: Hi team. I have ZWU as my main utilities holding @ 11% and I also have positions in BCE and ENB on their own. ZWU has both BCE and ENB in their top 10 holdings. In your opinion am I participating in "di-worsification" by holding BCE and ENB outside of ZWU. Would you sell both BCE and ENB and fold the funds back into ZWU? I'm ok letting ZWU go to +/- 15% of my portfolio. Appreciate your thoughts. Bill.

Q: Regarding position sizes of individual stocks, I have a PRIF, RRSP, TFSA and a cash account where I use borrowed $ from HLOC. In the cash account I have HDIV, ZWU, and CLS for some better growth hopefully. The distributions cover the interest expense monthly, I enjoy the tax advantage of interest expense and have done well over the years making some capitol gains, this account is about 18% of my entire portfolio. My question is regarding individual stock position size in the other accounts, seems to me I should not include the cash account holdings, curious to 5i thoughts?

Q: You recently said that trimming the weeds in a portfolio is something to believe in. Is SYZ a weed? I have held this stock for more than ten years and 5i's coverage of it was one of the reasons for my original subscription. I like the unique sector SYZ operates in and its growth potential, but I am losing patience and wondering if it is time to move on. If I sold SYZ I would add to my other Canadian software holdings, namely OTEX, ENGH, TCS and AIF, but I hesitate because SYZ provides diversification and may yet turn around. As always, I welcome your insight.

Q: In regards to some of the companies that have gotten whacked after releasing their numbers (like Uber, Shopify, Hammand ect), what are a couple names that you think look the most likely to dust themselves off and move higher from here? Thanks

Q: Hi, What would be the Forward PE/valuation of TVK at current price $81-82 ? Is this multiple reasonable, for Co's historical average and the industry in general, considering the growth ( annual rate ? ) trajectory and with the risk of high interest costs and labour shortages. Do they have competition ?

Thank You

Q: There have recently been questions about the number of stocks to own in a portfolio and diversification across a portfolio versus accounts. I need to reduce the number of stocks I own, but I am debating what the portfolio should look like when I am finished. My wife and I manage our account as a combined portfolio, but the result is that we are dealing with eight accounts (unregistered, TFSA, RRSP/RRIF). I would be interested in your thoughts on the minimum number of stocks in an account so it is not a bet on a coup,e of stocks, ant the advisable of having the same stock(s) in multiple account.
Thank you.
