Q: I have a larger cash account with a 10+ year horizon and would like generate capital gains only and no significant dividends. I like the Horizon TRI funds but would also like to invest in some individual stocks. Could you recommend some good stock (or other ETFs) that pay out little or no dividends.
Thanks!

Q: My wife and I each have about $110,000 in our RRIF accounts. Because of poor performance by our broker, we have decided to manage the RRIFs by ourselves. We are both in our mid-eighties so we would like stocks with good yields but not more than moderate risk. Yield is more important than capital gains in those accounts. Can you suggest about 8 to 10 stocks that meet those criteria? Thanks for your help.

Q: Two questions about the Canadian listing of Fairfax India Holdings (FIH.U:CA)
1. I was looking to buy it my Canadian Margin account - but it quotes the price in USD. Would I be buying this in USD? I don't understand.
2. What are your thoughts about this stock for the long term? I'm looking to buy it for my 5 year old daughter's future.
Thank you.

Q: Hi guys, I own the following with the respective total portfolio weightings. My TFSA is all CDN and RRSP is a mix of USD/CDN. When I rebalance, should I try and rebalance with respect to % of TFSA and % of RRSP or rebalance each holding as a percent of overall portfolio? If the latter, I would consolidate some of the holdings in my TFSA to bump up the individual weightings. Are there any obvious adjustments that I should make? I’m heavy on AAPL but have sold so much of it over the years I’m very tempted to let the remaining shares ride.
Please deduct as many credits as you see fit and many thanks for the excellent service you provide. The Q/A is invaluable as are the periodic market summaries. You’ve pulled me away from the panic button many, many times.

Q: With the diversification that the newly producing Oskut mine now provides Centerra together with their 2020 production/aisc guidance would you consider this company a reasonable play? It seems that free cash flow generation could be significant, not something that appears to be reflected in the current valuation.

Q: Hi 5i Team. Thanks for your great service.
With all the renewed hype with regards to green/ESG companies, is there a need to own all of the above companies or do their services overlap? Which ones would you own?

Thanks

Dave.

Q: Western Forest reported on February 12th. Revenue was $80 million, well above the $46 million projected. Now that the strike has been resolved, do you see any upside to the stock. The dividend is good. I own it at double the price (many shares) and it is now and I know, I know, don't average down but it seems things are looking up with the strike over and the price has moved up since the announcement. So I am leaning towards buying more or getting out. I know you are not a financial advisor.
Would they make a good buy out candidate for a US lumber company? They use to have a good balance sheet but do they have one now?
